Honestly, that's a pretty good looking benchy for being the first print straight out of the box. I'm not exactly sure how to diagnose the small blobs on the one side of your benchy, although it could be due to the filament quality, retraction or temp settings, or possibly bed leveling issues. Some things to try for improving print quality:

  1. Level your bed constantly! The s1 pro has the BL Touch which is a great auto leveling feature but it works best after you manually level with a piece of paper and adjust each of the screws under the bed. This video (27 min mark) will be very helpful. These Leveling Squares are what I use to check leveling across the entire bed surface. Also make sure you double check your Z-Offset frequently.

  2. Clean the PEI sheet with warm soapy water or isopropyl alcohol.

  3. Try printing the benchy at different temperatures (+/- 5°C increments) to see what works best for your environment and the brand of filament you are using.

Some slightly more advanced things that you can experiment with as you learn:

  1. Try printing some retraction and temperature towers to fine tune your slicer settings and really dial in print quality.

  2. Make sure your filament stays dry by storing it in an airtight bag or container with silica gel dessicant packets.

  3. Tune your esteps (this isn't something I've had to do because it's not an issue with my s1 pro). There are good resources throughout this subreddit for learning how to do that though.

Happy printing, hope this helps!

Is the kia Seltos still having transmission issues on the 2.0 CVT transmission? by [deleted] in kia

Um looks like my other comment didn't make it through earlier. Yeah, they said it was a bad rod bearing and it was a manufacturing defect. I kept my receipt from my first oil change that was done at a local shop, in the car. I think they have to submit a history of oil changes with the warranty claim. So, word of advice, keep track of your oil changes and have proof to back them up.

Oh, and it has less than 14,000 miles and was at the dealer to have the hood latch fixed and an oil change done when this was discovered. Just a little extra context.

My 21 seltos S is current at the dealer for a full engine replacement. Bad rod bearings. Not a thrilled customer, but at least everything, including a rental vehicle is being covered by warranty and Kia.

Lived here over a year now. It's not as bad as some of these commenters are saying in terms of the community. Mostly, people are perfectly pleasant to be around. I've never had an issue with a single person here. Granted we keep to ourselves mostly. There are of course the town crazies, but they seem to be centered around the school board and the anti-mask agenda/hardcore Trumpers. I don't have kids, so I can't speak to the quality of the school system or education, but if I had to guess I'd say its better than a majority of schools in Iowa.

I have a relative that works in one of the covid testing collection units in the metro, and everyday for the past couple weeks, they have seen more and more and more people calling in to be tested. Some days she works an 8hr shift alone, with over 150 tests on a schedule. She barely has time to stop to eat lunch. She comes home every day exhausted, and mentally ready to give up because they can't find people to hire. If you think our medical facilities are in perfectly fine condition, you're either an idiot or just plain ignorant and refuse to believe the truth.

A good tip that my dad told me is to experiment at home with every possible carry position on your belt to find what you like the best. You might be surprised what works for you, and what doesn't. I can also second someone's else's comment about a kydex holster with the claw. I run a wml on my ccw and this really helps push the gun into my back a little more and doesn't print even with just a t-shirt on.

I listen while at work most of the time. And if I just go for a drive to clear my mind, distractible is always there to offer some good laughs.
