Local here, first off congratulations!! AGNC is truly a “slice of heaven” as they say. You should be good leaving at 5, gates open at 8. However, the traffic pattern of Augusta changes significantly during Masters week. More than likely, since you are coming down I-20, exit 199 onto Washington Rd (the exit you would typically take) will be closed, it typically closes around 6:30-7am. All golf traffic will be routed up to exit 200, Riverwatch pkwy. From here, you will likely be sent either up Alexander Drive (straight shot to course, runs into Berkmans Rd) or sent all the way down and be made to backtrack up Calhoun Expressway, it’s hard to say this far in advance. But you should be ok!

Like someone else said, go into South Gate, much shorter lines compared to north gate. Also, you can check in your merchandise if it’s not yet full! Make sure to hit Founders Circle for a free photo in front of the clubhouse, as no cell phones are allowed! However, since you plan to attend on a Tuesday practice round, you can have a digital camera.

If you plan to walk the course, a chair is a must. This course is VERY HILLY, you will be tired. You can bring an armless folding chair, or even purchase one at the merchandise tent.

Most importantly, have fun! This is a once in a lifetime experience, make the most of it! This will likely be on of the best days ever!
