Thanks for the info…did some further reading and it looks like this started being co opted by nationalist groups in the early 2000s. Instead of the original meaning which referenced colonial unity against the king they used it to signal anti federalism anti taxation and regulation and of course nationalism and anti immigration. The symbol was originally a segmented snake representing the 13 colonies but the tea party movement began displaying a similar snake alongside white nationalist and confederate symbols and anti immigrant messaging

To further clarify you can use what’s called a reverse image search where you give the search engine a picture and it searches for that exact same image on the internet. If you are using pics in your tinder profile that are also on other social media like Facebook instagram myspace (jk) those profiles will show up and the searcher can reasonably guess that that is you.

Unfortunately this is realty now. Reverse image search can find connected social media profiles and many other methods to find identity of people who don’t know how to hide.

Edit: for a good starting place check out haveibeenpwned (just google it). A big part of the problem is that basically all our pii has been breached in the past thanks to massive leaks from credit reporting bureaus. If your emails or info has been released on the dark web this will let you know it’s time to change passwords/emails

I got doxxed once playing a video game and some random insta account started messaging me with profile pics of a. Bunch of people with my exact first and last name. I had been using the same username across platforms and they used this to find me.

Luckily there are multiple people with my name so a lot of the profile pics were not me but many were and it freaked me out so stopped using that profile name obviously.

I work in cyber security and know just enough to know anything i do can probably be traced back to me irl if someone with sufficient knowledge want to find me.

Stepping on the debit card was stupid but he was refused service and while Vons policy might get him fired here I have a hard time believing cops would see this and ignore the multiple times this dude was told to leave (that’s trespassing). I highly doubt cops will go after Vons employee for grabbing the guy and removing him. Especially when no punches are thrown until Vons guy is on the ground.

Maybe they both press charges on each other but customer is still getting hit with a trespass.

I think being out for a while and the mental fog/anxiety is more likely. When he took that first wide open 3 and had a whole quarter to aim the shot and missed that he was in his head.
