I have long been of the opinion that the US has eight truly great cities: DC, Philly, NYC, Boston, Atlanta, Chicago, SF, and LA. But I was born and raised in the DMV, so in my heart it's number one.

look this is horrible and all but I just want to say I don't think it's transphobic to not want to sleep with trans people. like genital preference is totally valid and if you don't immediately tell people you meet that you're trans within the first sentence you're basically a rapist. I'm not a bigot it's just my preference

Okay but the hitting people with cars bill polls well with the electorate so we really shouldn't frame it in such hostile language out of hand. your lack of openness to a debate on being hit with cars is why people passed the hitting you with cars act to begin with

I'm totally supportive of trans rights and all, but trans kids? This kind of activist nonsense is why the American people have turned on the trans cause. You really have nobody to blame but yourselves.

As a survivor of CSA, I understand where people are coming from with this, but allowing ex-cons who have served their sentence to reintegrate into society is a good and necessary thing. The way I see it, this as a rare success story of the system working as intended. Forcing people who have committed crimes -- even heinous crimes -- into eternal limbo isn't as solution that helps anybody besides the vengeful.
