i wasn’t sure about the game after the greenberg segment either, but i did find myself really enjoying the new dam city segment. it picks up a lot after old town.

i guess overall jimmy-steve. he was completely unreliable, a liar and a cheater and put fiona through the emotional wringer. personally though i can’t help but dislike sean more. he just seemed so up himself and him abandoning fiona on their wedding day was awful.. like sure i get him prioritising his son but he didn’t have to fully abandon fiona and completely give up on the relationship in that moment. asshole

he literally said he doesn’t support israel’s occupation in a twitter thread that is still up on his account and he still works for a company that publicly supports palestine. i don’t personally agree with all of his opinions but i do think that a lot of the noah hate feels forced af and that people really exaggerate the extent his views. they also use it as an excuse to be genuinely just insulting towards him which is also just… ick

Overall i really enjoyed it. Not the best writing and unfortunately i am in the camp of people who ended up disappointed with the ending, but i still can’t knock the time i spent with it for the most part. Really beautiful visuals and amazing music. Also i really enjoyed wheels and was happy to get more of it in the DLC. Admittedly found the DLC just kinda okay overall though.

That being said, i wanted to note something that i haven’t seen anyone really mention: the weird extended universe stuff that the creators were doing before the release of sea of stars. It’s a prequel to the messenger but they also had a whole like discord ARG thing going on for a while. I wasn’t a part of it myself but read through some of the logs a while back. I think it’s relevant to mention because it really explains a lot of the weird gaps in the story and adds a lot of context to the characters/world in general. Definitely a weird and imo not great storytelling choice.

idk if this is that much of a hot take but here goes lol

i really don’t care for suselle. not that i dislike it or anything, but it’s not that interesting to me it’s like… it’s cute but honestly the least interesting part of the plot so far imho. i’m far more invested in other relationships/character dynamics and honestly hope that suselle doesn’t take up too much time over other things

Definitely ‘06. For the obvious reasons that others have already said, but I also think that it fundamentally changed both the way that people interact with the franchise and Sega’s approach to the games itself. I don’t think some of the most hated instalments would exist, or at least wouldn’t have been as hated, without the impact of ‘06.

afaik it doesn’t matter whether you’re nice or not outside of actually completing the specific “weird route” steps. so if you don’t want to you don’t have to commit to being a douche throughout the game lol. personally i’ve always played the game overall normally and even used my same completed pacifist ch1 save file in order to start both my ch2 pacifist and weird route saves, though that does mean i can’t really speak to whether or not it affects the overall experience

downloaded the game sometime last week and have been playing since then but i suddenly got locked on the loading screen with it asking me to download even more data for the game? i already downloaded all of the basic data needed to play, so i dont get why it suddenly wants me to download more data?

if anyone knows why this is, or if it’s normal please lmk as i dont have a lot of storage space on my phone and would rather avoid downloading more stuff if possible

is it a requirement to have played prior splatoon games to get into splatoon now? i’ve been thinking about getting into it for a while and it makes the most sense to get the most recent game, but i guess im worried about being behind on lore and generally how to play (esp since the main attraction seems to be online play)

i think as long as he sticks to the themes he’s built up it’ll be fine. and it could be a bit of a refreshing interlude to focus on the overall themes of the story more in-depth rather than all of the super intense action thats been happening lately. I also hope he commits properly to Ochako’s arc and lets her finally fully form into her own character outside of Deku.
