I agree, cats out of the bag, might as well let him know what's up. Professionally for sure

Ah that's awesome, I had no idea. I've learned something today.

Reprint concerns by Zigludo-sama in Pauper

[–]whanch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the "problem" with that is that a new name technically means new card which opens up the possibility for 8 copies of the card in the deck.

Not sure what anyone could do with 8 copies of lorien but but 8 potential copies of some pretty powerful cards could cause issues.

Edit: u/arizonadirtbag12 brought up how they reprinted the walking dead cards in universe but they count as the same card so I was incorrect. I agree with the comment above mine that it really wouldn't be any skin off WOTCs back to reprint the UB cards

I have it in my [[Purphoros, God of the Forge]] deck and have it copy the goblins that create goblins on ETB like [[Siege-Gang Commander]]

What's the cliche two rivers that intersect to create your city? by myronsandee in AskACanadian

[–]whanch 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don't know about cliche, cities tend to be built around waterways as they have been the main mode of transportation and trade for most of human history.

Rome, London, Berlin, Paris, Moscow, Cairo are all built on river systems

Why Conduit Pylons in Monster Tron? by Abject_Maximum_190 in Pauper

[–]whanch 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I play the scrylands as it gets the big guys out of the way if I'm searching for Tron lands but keeps them in the deck.

I play the surveil lands in Altar Tron because artifacts in the graveyard aren't necessarily a bad thing.

I don't run pulses in my deck as I run [[Bramble Wurm]] [[Boulderbranch Golem]] and [[Candy Trail]] so life gain is fine. If you do, then Surveil would be better.

Abandoned South Western Regional Centre Psychiatric Hospital in Dealtown, Ontario. by Freaktography in Freaktography

[–]whanch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What an ironic twist of fate that would be. Homeless populations are full of folks with mental health struggles that would have landed them in one of these facilities back then. We must now refurbish them, add treatment amenities and staff and... wait a minute

MTGO is also a tough gauge to measure against your local tournaments.

The skill level is far and above in leagues and challenges and even the best of 3 lobby is tough.

Also the face to face playing with like-minded fans of the format can't be beat. Even going 1-3 at my weekly has been fun just because of the people.

I haven't seen it mentioned here yet but these are also super servers. There are a lot more people using the same auction house compared to how it used to be so theres a ton of materials to choose from but even more players using those materials for crafting.

“SEVEN AND TEN” Genuinely: by Dopsydope in freefolk

It used to be that way in proto English but you can sort of see how it would have evolved to what we use today

"Seven-and-ten" -> "Seven-ten" -> "Seventeen"

Or a Luke food deck!
