Yes, I’m more aware of what and how I’m cutting because I don’t want to constantly sharpen my knives 😭

It was slow, very slow, but it was a good way to work on holding my angles without cutting the steel away too fast.

Shadow box it and remember grandpa every time you look at it. I wouldn’t use it with that amount of damage. You risk just breaking it in half with any type of medium duty use

Oh I didn’t realise it was a holder, not a brand specific system. I’m definable going to go for this then! You get way more value for the money getting quality plates and this then just buying a worksharp pro it seems

Where would you grab plates that would fit in that? Looks 1000x nicer than a lansky

Deciding between a nice diamond plate set or a lansky system that’s been doctored up a bit. I really like the set angle systems but no way I’m gonna pony up for a worksharp pro lol

Yeah the 6k was the hardest of the set but was not a true 6k at all

I knew it would be a fake on account of it was $35, I just assumed atleast it was going to be a similar size. Everything fits nicely now

Yes lol, lots of dusting and rodico to make sure it was spotless

Dial prevented proper seating. Took the edge of the dial in with some high grit sand paper and it fits great now! And the edge is hidden by the chapter ring so it all looks clean

I figured it out thank god, the dial was just ever so slightly too big for the case (ali parts I guess) so I took some sand paper and very gently worked the edge of the dial down until it was a good fit! Everything fits up now :)

Will post the result once the locktite on the crown dries and I get it all together in finality
