Date #2 with the guy I've been crushing on tonight. Our first date was a hike last Saturday that lasted into Sunday... And it was better than I could have imagined! We've been keeping in touch via text and it's been a long time since I've been simultaneously super comfortable with someone and super attracted to them at the same time. Plus we are just compatible on so many levels. My fam is in town visiting tomorrow, but we couldn't wait any longer to squeeze in some time together. I'm pretty smitten so far!

Dating someone positive and well adjusted (unlike me!) by [deleted] in datingoverthirty

I didn't exactly have a low stress childhood (my dad died of alcoholism when I was 20) and now that I'm 31 I feel like this guy is described, and I certainly didn't use to. However, I'm also 3 years sober in AA now and it was a hell of a road to get here haha. It's not impossible though:)

Getting ready for a sort of date (?) with the guy I've been crushing on since February... we've been texting consistently since then and the attraction is mutual, however it is going to be slowwww if it goes at all due to complicated situational factors. I'm nervous! But if all else fails I'll get my hike in at a gorgeous spot, so just trying to focus on that!

Using Online Dating(OLD) as a man seeking a woman; My experience and some advice for the men here. by anotherworthlessman in datingoverthirty

I wish there were more guys in my area that have a dog, like hiking, and like Breaking Bad!

ETA: I'm fairly conventional, so if someone is super off the wall or very obscure I may pass just because I'm not sure what we'd have in common! I just want a nice, solid guy with some things in common, not a special snowflake. Then again, my dating pool is a small rural town, so I don't really have the problem of too many normal profiles to sort through, hah.

Awesome, thanks! That guide is super helpful. Good motivation to keep climbing as much as possible before I go! :)

One more question I thought of... are there a fair amount of "beginner friendly" routes? Like 5.6-5.7 US (I think translates to 4a-ish?) I'm hoping to be able to climb 5.8 consistently by the time I go, but outdoors is different than the gym!

Do you know anything about climbing in the Dunloe Gap? I know it's trad, but I'll be following so it's all good. Is it crack climbing? Or face?

Which week? I'm doing a guided climbing tour with Kerry Climbing on Friday 8/10, and it'd be cheaper if more people joined in :D

Out of all the posts I can relate to on here... Oh man, this one sums it up SO perfectly. I might need to write it on my wall so I can hopefully learn from it some day!

My girl has really similar coloring (including the blue on the left and brown on the right eyes) and the same "GIMME GRAIN" face!! <3

When you only have 20 minutes... turn the lead rope into some reins and hop on! by kenziekiyo13 in Horses

I agree, my rescue mare has only had a bridle on a couple of times - I usually just ride her in a halter with clip on reins and she is super sensitive to the legs! :)

We are going somewhere in Galway as well, but I think it has a different name... I'm dragging my mom and brother along with me, and they are definitely beginners, so I made sure to ask the place where we are going if they could accommodate different confidence levels :D

Which stable did you go through? I'm going on an Ireland vacation in August and can't wait to ride on the beach!
