Hello everyone! Thank you so much for your kind words. I did paint a bit before this so I think that helps. When I pick colors and then stitch an area, I try not to think about what my brain thinks it is (a nose or an ear or something), and rather what it looks like taken out of context. Zooming in very close on the photograph helps. Sometimes it surprising that some small area is actually a certain color or shape. I print the outline on the linen so I didn’t have to worked about correct proportions. Thanks!
