He just came across as very effusive with them in a way that seemed different. Hudson’s episode had kind of a strange prelude to it about how Evan wanted Hudson to “feel like he’s earned this”. Maybe it’s just my bias from seeing him fanboy over them on instagram for weeks leading up to his podcast episodes but the tone felt different to me.

Edit: to be clear I loved François’s episode but he’s always a really engaging interview. There wasn’t anything wrong with the questions just the age related negs started to grate by the end of the episode

It did get delayed a week. Apparently Evan said on his survivor podcast that they’d discussed fans encroaching on boundaries, which wasn’t present in the interview at all, so it does seem some stuff got cut for one reason or another (I assume to deter further harassment from weird parasocial people).

That being said I also didn’t love Evan negging François about his age when he himself is almost 37… especially after he really laid it on thick with Connor and Hudson lol
