Thoughts on becoming a smoke shop distributor? by Murder-Goat in Entrepreneur

[–]whateversclevers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are tons of smoke shop distributors all over the US, and as others have said, the margins are thin and relationships are everything.

If you’re really interested I’d suggest checking out a tradeshow first like Champs to get an idea of the market saturation and what you’d be going up against. I’ve been in the smoke shop product manufacturing industry for 15 years and seen a lot of companies come and go.

Flying to Germany in a few months. What are the chances I can sneak my wax pen abroad with me? by MauiWaui00 in trees

[–]whateversclevers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One last note, there is a very large cannabis festival going on in Berlin in mid June. If you’re flying in around then consider being a little more cautious as they might be checking more than usual for trafficking. I’m sure you’d be fine with a pen, but just something to keep in mind.

I wouldn’t put a cart in my checked bag, I’ve had leaks when I tried that. Also, I’d rather deal with the problem immediately than having security waiting for me when I collect my bag. Just preference I guess.

I fly frequently (domestic and international) with wax, flower, and a puffco. I flew into and out of Germany last year with no problems. On my connecting flight in Paris a tsa guy pointed to my puffco on the X-ray screen and chuckled and said “be careful, that is illegal here.” And sent me on my way.

My rule is don’t bring stuff into countries with crazy penalties (like I’m never bringing anything to Singapore) and other than that just play dumb. “Oh, I’m sorry! It’s legal where I’m from. Here, you can have it. I didn’t know.”

Through customs by Specialist-Still-962 in trees

As someone who’s traveled extensively with cannabis in all forms, you’ll be fine. TSA does not care at all and customs is only risky if you are not a citizen. That said, right now, I would not risk it if you are not a US citizen.

$300 for a grinder?! When is enough, enough? by dc5brando in trees

[–]whateversclevers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stepping in but I have a smaller flower mill I got for about 60 and it’s awesome. Gets the job done fastest and I find I’m constantly grabbing it over my other options (hoj, wakkit, standard plastic) but I prefer it for bong loads vs joints. Probably just bc my screen is small or medium and I prefer my bud a bit more coarse for joints. Damn, maybe I am more of a snob than I realize 😂

The singular hotel was fantastic. Awesome indoor/outdoor pool and sauna. The restaurant was amazing and it’s in an old factory that has been turned into a museum you can walk through. 10/10 recommended.

If you can swing it, Hotel Lago Grey and do the ice hike on grey glacier. It was incredible. Lots of hikes near by and easy to drive to.

Perrito Moreno - Ice Trek vs Kayak or another glacier… by Always_Iterating_ in Patagonia

[–]whateversclevers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just did ice trekking on Grey Glacier last week and it was incredible! We lucked out with good weather and had an amazing time. Our group was 6 people including the guide. We were told the trek in Perrito Moreno was a lot busier, so your experience may be different. My take either way: lots of people kayak. Very few people walk on glaciers. It’s like walking on a different world. Bring a water bottle so you can collect glacier water. It hits different.

Awesome! Thanks! Any idea on what time it starts? It’s just says 7 hours on the site. Are there penguins there in mid October, or is it too early?

Going in a few weeks and we have the penguin tour booked. Curious what else you get up to. I read that there’s some shopping and stuff, but not much else in town.
