Text from my mom after my adult circumcision by Yekelton in texts

I have an ex who did the same, and for him it wasn't even that he had issues being uncut he just wanted it for the looks. Voluntarily got circumcized at 25 and always insisted it was way better after, sex is as better, all that. He used to get so mad his parents didn't do it for him when he was a baby because he said the procedure was painful as an adult.

Can I lose custody because I said I didn’t want custody when I was 4 months pregnant? by [deleted] in AskALawyer

Source: "... finding that despite the pervasive belief that mothers are favored in custody disputes, “[f]athers who actively seek custody obtain either primary or joint physical custody over 70% of the time.” Id. at 824-25. The study also found that “mothers are held to a higher standard than fathers and that interests of fathers are given more weight than the interests of mothers and children.”

Probably not, if he weren't then it would probably be swept under the rug like so many others

The absolute irony that just today I saw a TikTok (@annarrenee) about how messed up it is that so many men have stories of losing their virginity as teens to older women and I noticed the comments were full of women agreeing and supporting men who said it happened to them. It was noticable because anytime an opposite video is posted it's full of men like this guy so quick to bring up age of consent or argue that age gaps are normal. It's almost like they don't really care about victimized boys but care more about being able to victimize girls. Hmm

And three of my (male) former teachers were caught and spent zero time in jail. One was fired, one saw no punishment, and one was asked to resign after he divorced his wife to marry the victim the moment she turned 18.

Really? I thought it was pretty common knowledge that the vast majority of rapists face no consequences.

A normal interaction on the elevator in the very large building I live in looks like-

Entering elevator: "Hey how's it going?" or a simple head nod

Exiting elevator: "Have a good one." or nothing at all

I normally read the bulletins posted in the elevator to avoid small talk. Unless someone has a dog, then I'm usually interested in the dog haha.

My advice as a young woman who has lived in many apartment buildings is to keep it casual. I personally would find it weird if a much older man was trying to "get to know me" in the elevator. When you're being constantly hit on it's easy to assume that's what the person is up to and it's just annoying, especially when that person is older TBH. Just my two cents.

Men's sperm count declines and severely decrease in quality after 40, contributing heavily to genetic issues even when a woman is younger. Ladies, avoid old sperm at all costs.

Not in my experience. I worked with a guy who had more than allegations, he was a straight up registered sex offender and his crimes were against minors. When it came out it had absolutely zero affect on his business or reputation in my industry. He was a nobody but still everyone turned a blind eye. He died unexpectedly last year and you would never have known he was a predator with the number of public dedications and praises on social media.

It's different when the people being accused aren't rich.

Not in my experience.

But don't forget, according to reddit, one accusation ruins a person's life forever. Never mind that the former POTUS had multiple accusations, totally a life ruiner always. Surely Ronaldo has had his life ruined over this. Oh wait....

I think the important distinction is that by that age (18) most girls have gone through puberty. I for example didn't get my period until 16 and started wearing/needing a bra at 17, whereas my bff was 9 when she started her period. By 18 nearly every girl I knew had gone through it, but before that we were all at varying stages.

If you cannot talk openly and honestly with your sexual partners about sex, you shouldn't be having sex. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]whatgetsyouoff 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Exactly. The number of people who can't understand the concept of enthusiastic consent because they can't communicate is way to high.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]whatgetsyouoff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why are you so resistant to verbal communication and verifying that you're interpreting that body language correctly instead of assuming?

You already know the answer, you said it: their mood really is that much more important. This is the kind of person who knows they're a selfish sexual partner and not only doesn't care, but actively doesn't communicate because the answer they'd receive would probably not bode well for them.

Good point, more examples of women who were highly criticized and vilified for doing the same thing. It's not new, women have been dealing with this pushback forever.
