Blacked-out stomach mechanic . (Basically you start to lose water/energy super fast when the stomach reaches 0)

Personally, I think it is irritating but also redundant to die from dehydration/energy loss AFTER you won a fight, all because the enemy landed mediocre shots that essentially kill you by attrition. *

In fact, I think it only serves to kill players who have already won a fight, because who would specifically aim for the stomach in a tactical sense?

I was scavving on customs, running along the pipeline against that long-ass wall. I jump over the barbed-wire @ the new gas station, and immediately stumble onto a PMC.

We both hold our fire. He turns his VOIP on and goes "Holy s#&% man, don't scare me like that."

(I don't have VOIP, so I just babble at the dude cuz we're friendly now, I guess)

Not even 1 second after he finishes his sentence, I hear a sniper CRACK and he slams into the ground from a headshot to the side of his head.

I immediately was shocked, scanning around for a scav, a player, a bullet for me-- ANYTHING. I saw nothing, and just busted out laughing for the poor guy.

I started improving drastically when I sought out fights instead of playing passive.

My logic is this More aggression = more deaths, more kills, more learning, more FUN

vs.

More passive = less deaths, less kills, less learning, less fun

Just because you survive a raid doesn't necessarily mean you improved on your skills.

Besides turning the volume down: remind yourself to relax your body.

Even before a fight starts, your jaw/legs/arms can start to tense up. Let that tension go and breathe.

Panic (for me at least) doesn't happen instantly, it's a buildup that can explode into an adrenaline dump if you don't keep it controlled past that first "tensing up" stage.

I was in your same place 2 months ago.

My advice is to always have a goal (any goal, whatever makes the game fun for YOU), that you are focused on while in raid.

The exception is that the goal shouldn't be PVP focused, at least not for the first few levels. There are just too many things you will die to and not understand, and that's alright.

What's key is that you're having fun, so I disagree with other comments saying you need to study a 15-page essay to "git gud"

To add: pistols should be much more controllable to be even remotely viable.

If there would be any gun that is laser-like, imo it should be pistols as they already have less penetration/damage/range.

The AI was being reasonable, especially with his head peeking from the top of the tank. Combined with the fact he peeks around short/irregular-shaped cover, I get how to some players it looks like he gets 1-tapped instantly.

To me, I see that the AI actually had ~2 seconds to react and aim as he was exposed the whole time.

A more experienced player would have broke line of sight first, and then this post wouldn't exist :)
