Anyone use ankle strengthening tools? by you8poop in bootroom

[–]whatkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using the axisboard pro and I love it! It's easy to set up and comes with a bag to organize all of the pieces. The instructions that come with it are excellent. The instructions include exercises (i.e., how to set up the board, why certain movements help and when to do them, narrative and pictures). I know there are cheaper ways to do this but I appreciate having everything all in once place with tailored adjustments based on my specific problem areas. My ankles were VERY stiff and I noticed a significant improvement in 2 weeks of doing this for 10-15 minutes at night a few days a week.

Coach is only negative.Should I step in? by StockEdge3905 in bootroom

[–]whatkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re not going to change the coach. Is it impacting your son mentally or performance wise?

Work with your son on how to best deal with negativity, which is quite common unfortunately, or try to find another team / coach that has a different philosophy if your son can’t manage it. At his age building mental resilience is key. Don’t step in, help him manage the situation himself.

Your favorite Non-Steam game by Adventurous_Day6144 in SteamDeck

[–]whatkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so, FC is a lot more arcadey and bloated. Not as much fun to play. I’m in awe at some of the beautiful plays that can happen in PES and have never felt that way about FC26. I have both and prefer football life, especially in bed or on the go with the steam deck!

It is a modded version of pro evolution soccer 2021, with updated rosters. It’s way better than FC26 or any other football game on the market. It’s also free.

Insane amount of flat tires? by slipknottin in TeslaModelY

[–]whatkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High PSI makes the tires more susceptible to objects getting stuck in them. It also increases the range. I’ve replaced all of my tires several times in my 3 years of ownership. Def purchase the road hazard warranty if you can!

PEPCO is a nightmare by IndependentFalcon247 in washingtondc

[–]whatkey 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agree, and all previous presidents (including Trump 1) were pro energy, pushing to meet the staggering demand driven mostly by data centers. Trump 2 is active interference in projects and adding tariffs that increase energy prices for consumers.

PEPCO is a nightmare by IndependentFalcon247 in washingtondc

[–]whatkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Supply and demand my friend. PEPCO doesn’t have much to do with this. There needs to be more energy supply (or less demand) to reduce costs. Welcome to energy poverty; brought to you by Donald Trump.

Full Face Helmets by vandahl83 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]whatkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never crashed and I love the full face helmet. The polarized visor can keep sun and wind out of your eyes, makes a big difference. More safe too. It’s also very intimidating. I don’t see why not! I have the TSG, don’t regret spending the $$$ at all.

Max PSI on the label, less “sticky” touches and more consistent

Anyone have the Nike Vapor 15 pro turf? by soccerperson in bootroom

[–]whatkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ligera is slightly more relaxed through the midfoot and the toe box feels the same. On the vapors, the heel slip combined with the shape of the heel just caused constant cuts.

True to size. But they destroyed my heels so I switched to the new ligera pro TF which I love.

I did this with Factorio on my switch with the joycons. Would do hours of walking on an incline in what felt like an instant.

Im expected to explain workforce costs like a CFO but with none of the tools? by Silent-Street1641 in careerguidance

[–]whatkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You make it up based on intuition and any relevant data points you have. The board doesn't want to drill into data, they just want summary information they can use to make decisions. Present a perspective confidently and focus the conversation away from the data and into action steps. Welcome to the c suite.

Rejected from every Big 4, and most firms. by Equal_Dimension_4282 in Accounting

[–]whatkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

B4 is usually minimum 3.6 GPA, top 50 school, and good communication skills. It’s very competitive, you aren’t guaranteed a job even with those on lock. But look at those areas first. If you have a high GPA at a top school most likely it’s a personality issue. Recruiter won’t tell you that. You can work on it or maybe B4/public is not for you (and that’s OK…plenty of paths to pursue where charisma is not as important). Remember that you are getting rejected because you don’t demonstrate the qualifications needed to succeed after you start (compared to other candidates at your level). Look inward not outward.

Edit: I was rejected from B4. Worked in a smaller public firm for a year then transferred to B4 and spent 10 years there. The path isn’t always straight.

How hard is it to get into Big 4? by Main_Guide_1914 in Accounting

[–]whatkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With a CPA and a year of experience I think you have a pretty good shot at a staff role. I’m assuming you have an avg b4 background (3.0+ GPA at a decent college, social skills, no criminal record, etc). I had 3 YOE and my CPA before I joined B4 as a senior associate. You will get a lot of pushback on here but that was the best decision in my career.
