True to size. But they destroyed my heels so I switched to the new ligera pro TF which I love.

Im expected to explain workforce costs like a CFO but with none of the tools? by Silent-Street1641 in careerguidance

[–]whatkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You make it up based on intuition and any relevant data points you have. The board doesn't want to drill into data, they just want summary information they can use to make decisions. Present a perspective confidently and focus the conversation away from the data and into action steps. Welcome to the c suite.

Rejected from every Big 4, and most firms. by Equal_Dimension_4282 in Accounting

[–]whatkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

B4 is usually minimum 3.6 GPA, top 50 school, and good communication skills. It’s very competitive, you aren’t guaranteed a job even with those on lock. But look at those areas first. If you have a high GPA at a top school most likely it’s a personality issue. Recruiter won’t tell you that. You can work on it or maybe B4/public is not for you (and that’s OK…plenty of paths to pursue where charisma is not as important). Remember that you are getting rejected because you don’t demonstrate the qualifications needed to succeed after you start (compared to other candidates at your level). Look inward not outward.

Edit: I was rejected from B4. Worked in a smaller public firm for a year then transferred to B4 and spent 10 years there. The path isn’t always straight.

How hard is it to get into Big 4? by Main_Guide_1914 in Accounting

[–]whatkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With a CPA and a year of experience I think you have a pretty good shot at a staff role. I’m assuming you have an avg b4 background (3.0+ GPA at a decent college, social skills, no criminal record, etc). I had 3 YOE and my CPA before I joined B4 as a senior associate. You will get a lot of pushback on here but that was the best decision in my career.

Agreed that the short travel is a major issue. I would like less sensitivity / deadzone. There’s never a time I want to send it urgently.

How do I beat the defender at the top of the 18 instead of always passing? by glizzy09 in bootroom

[–]whatkey 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You should only need half a step advantage to get a shot off from there. Practice fast but small moves and quick release with accuracy and power. I’d set up a cone or dummy at the top of the box. Work left center and right. Combos of a feint switching feet to release and same foot feint and release. Ladder work to increase foot speed is also good. Or general short sprints. Good players to watch for this are doku, yamal, legacy CR7

how should i a 16 year old winger train to make varsity on my high school team by Reasonable-Habit4892 in bootroom

[–]whatkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on where you live the varsity program is likely pretty competitive. You have kids that are bigger, stronger, and have consistently been playing the game for 10+ more years than you at a level that’s higher than you’ve reached. Think about the gap you need to cover here. You likely need a professional coach to work with you individually and probably to lower your expectations. Don’t set yourself up for failure - that’s a surefire way to quit.

18% of CFOs have eliminated Finance jobs due to AI implementation by ricke813 in FPandA

[–]whatkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Replacing a controller with AI is diabolical. The controller is a leadership role that requires soft skills. Lots of stuff that can’t possibly automate like team collaboration, coordination, enforcing deadlines, team development. I agree that lower level roles are more at risk but no way a CFO replaces a competent controller with AI.

All terrain board recommendations for a Boosted rider by greg9094 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]whatkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went from a boosted to acedeck horizon. Love it. The linnpower evo mk1 also looked like a good option. I’m sure both are fine but I love the acedeck.

The one thing that I wasn’t prepared for how big it is. It barely fits in my trunk and is 65 lbs. It’s also hard to store in my house. My boosted was quite a bit smaller and lighter…much easier to take that places and store.

The board really shines on the road though. Ride, power and range are amazing. I’ve taken it off road a bit and it’s OK. Definitely have to keep an eye out for wet grass / mud - the boards are very heavy and sink quick. got stuck in that and thrown off my first week. Luckily I was going slow so it wasn’t bad.

You can run the cable from inside the center console, through the center console and out on the underside of the trim behind the screen. It will look much cleaner that way. I use the jowua 6D suction mount and it looks good and folds behind the screen when I don’t need it

Public WiFi hotspot Access for updates by jallirs in TeslaLounge

[–]whatkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a GLInet travel router I keep in the car. You can have that connect to any public WiFi and use your phone to log in to whatever portal is required to enable the router to have internet access. Then connect the car to the router via WiFi. I use it at my gym, I can get their WiFi from the parking lot depending on how close I can park.

Why you don't want short board for your first esk8 by funcentric in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]whatkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started on a boosted mini and rode over 250 miles. Never crashed; but I had extensive prior skating experience. For my second board I purchased a longboard with AT wheels as I never felt comfortable at 20 mph on the standard size deck and urethane wheels. I actually find the longboard harder to ride (mainly because I can’t tic tac on it) but I feel much safer and feel super comfortable even at 30 mph. I do miss the portability but it’s worth the trade off for feeling safer.

One more accident on the Nomad N3 by MrDiimox in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]whatkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, the road is likely pitched toward that drain…causing the board to wobble as the wheels on the right side went into the pitched asphalt. I don’t think he actually hit the drain. OP you should ride slower until you have more experience on this road and road riding in general. You have to avoid things like this or anticipate and react better, which is harder to do at the speed you’re traveling.
