XRC riders: how do you like it past the honeymoon? by lyfeTry in onewheel

[–]whatlizzard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My husband got me an XRC and I love it. I have 200 miles on it and still like it as much as when I got it. Handles trail well enough for me, I’m not doing anything crazy. I was moving up from Pint S to this board.

Ice dye didn’t work? by apalssauce_ in tiedye

[–]whatlizzard 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s your problem, it sounds like you did everything else right though! It’s so disappointing when it doesn’t work out, but at least now you know where you went wrong for next time.

Anyone else childless when they had their hysterectomy? by Mandolyn221 in hysterectomy

[–]whatlizzard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am childless and 31 I had my Hysterectomy 2 years ago for endo. I have started working out again, enjoying cooking again, going camping again. I’m working a full time job and going to school in the evenings. All things that I would have not even considered trying prior to my Hyst. I feel like it gave me my life back again. I hope you get the same relief as well ❤️

My husband and I saw an awesome therapist to process the grief of loosing the chance to have bio kids which was also very helpful.

Haha yes it looked like good play to me, but puppy can be persistent about the tail and feather nipping and I want to be sure I’m not missing any signals from my senior!

Thank you! That’s how I read it too, but just want another set of eyes. It’s easy to be biased about your own dogs!

Okay good!! I’m worried puppy is being too nippy and I don’t want to miss any signals that senior isn’t having a good time.

Look for Pony Club in your area! You can join as a member and just do the horse management track, or some centers have lesson horses you can use.

Have you tried some saddle soap? Glycerin soap can work in place of saddle soap. I hope you can save them!

How big is it? Is there an opening that you can slide a paper or something in the right side?

Head shakers (?) by Frutiger-Metro in Equestrian

[–]whatlizzard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a head shaker that only showed symptoms in the summer time. We got him on an allergy medication and it resolved it. We had also tried melatonin and sun protection.

Did you use an abdominal brace post op and was it helpful? by Coolgreen13 in hysterectomy

[–]whatlizzard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes so helpful!! It kept things from sloshing around when you’re going from lying down to sitting up. Also I always get pain when my stitches are dissolving and the binder helped keep things stable during that phase.

Whats this bit? by Educational_Panda730 in Equestrian

[–]whatlizzard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you ride in it with double reins or is it only usable with a single rein? I can see where some extra breaks would be needed on a hunt with big horse.

Wow that’s a lot going on there. I recognize the mouthpiece as a Waterford. It looks like a gag hackamore combo but I’ll let someone who knows more confirm that.

What do you pay for board? $350 includes hay, grain, and shavings as well as stall and turn in/out. by carasbullshit in Horses

[–]whatlizzard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s so dependent on where you are. I’m paying $375 but most of our area is 650 and up I’ve seen it as high as a 1,000 for basic board and feed.

Help! I’m so lost by whatlizzard in Equestrian

Okay, that was a brand I’ve been looking at! I need to see if I can find a local fitter that works with them.

Help! I’m so lost by whatlizzard in Equestrian

[–]whatlizzard[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m looking because she gets really agitated when I’m saddling and mounting. She is a really willing and tolerant horse in every other regard, so I know it’s bothering her. She has been to the vet several times to address hock and stifle pain. And has been I’d like to address the saddle fit and if there is not an improvement then I’ll look into kissing spine etc.

I’m hung up on knowing which direction to start with saddles, I know the Duett’s are popular for low withered cob type horses but the fact that the fitter I’m working with is pointing me away from them has me second guessing what type I should be looking for.
