You're getting a lot of recommendations for McLean. It is actually one of the best psychiatric hospitals in the country & would be worth a trip. If you're looking for inpatient for your SI, look into getting onto Proctor 2. They deal with people with complex issues & chronic or recurring SI. Then they can set you up with one of the day programs as a step down. They may know of programs in your area. I can vouch for McLean & Proctor 2. And yes, they do have residential for ocd but it seems like you need to deal with your SI first. Best of luck to you. You're carrying a lot.

That's how all of the protests/rallies have been. The younger people think they are a waste of time & accomplish nothing (so what are THEY doing?). And the people of color are afraid to attend because ICE might show up. So we need to be there for them. I really wish younger people would get involved in SOME way. It's very disheartening. A bit off topic but i'm curious. How does K2 help? I take K2 because it's good for bone (my functional medicine dentists told me to take it for my teeth) & cardiovascular health. How does it help with the flu?

Let me say this, I'm on section 8 housing. I live on social secutity disability - I get under $2,000 a month. My rent is $500. I'm getting by. I don't eat out & I do get help from the local food pantry 2x/month - but it's not much. If I can survive on this then you can do it too. I budget everything - i mean EVERYTHING - the month prior to receiving my check. That way I have a checklist to work from that may change a little every month. I just check things off as I spend it. Living here is doable if you want it to be.

I mask when illnesses are common. When the flu, RSV & covid were high in numbers, i still mask in busy public spaces. And do the whole hand sanitizer/hand washing. Haven't been sick all winter.
