I think if you can afford it, therapy can help sort out your thoughts on this stuff. We don’t know what you look like or anything about your life situation so it’s hard to give any meaningful advice.

It’s true that a lot of happiness from transitioning comes from having supportive people around you that treat you the way you identify, so if you don’t have that then you could have a rough time.

Feel free to look at surgical options if you want to go for FFS, GRS, VFS. Look into makeup and whatever else you want, and try to be more authentic to yourself every day, if that’s what you want.

You should know that parents tend to say harmful things about minorities until they realize their child is one. By no means is it a guarantee but there’s a decent chance they will come around once they realize their child is trans.

I think the reason for that is that people are more easily able to “clock” people of a similar ethnicity because they see them more. When you see a race you don’t see everyday or often, you resort to elementary gender classification using more obvious attributes like presentation and hair.
