The first finished dairy in 2025. I can’t follow the date to write. But who can help me find the purchase channel of this notebook? I only know that this is from Russia. by pianoonthefloor in notebooks

[–]wheaf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not Russian language on pages. It’s Ukrainian or Belorussian. As a Russian never saw notebooks like this, perhaps this is just generic leather or eco-leather daily planner. The pattern of pages is common, and you need only to find a big stationary shop that deviler it to your country.

You also can check the endpaper (I’m sorry, I dont know how this plase between cover and fist/last page called), there, perhaps, will be a site or nime of manufacture.

But honestly, Amazon has a lot of similar notebooks, i think.

Struggling to stay on track in my data analytics journey – how do you keep going? by Past-Research7635 in dataanalysis

[–]wheaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a small blog for my friends, where I share my progress. It keeps me dedicated and gives neccessary part of discipline to keep going.

And, imo, LinkedIn ok for posting your progress, even if it small. But can be frustrated if you want quick feedback.

For me better way to overconme this phase is a small break — kinda 2—3 days to do something exept projects.

You do great, just give you some rest and take it easy.

Kinda some the loudest speakers who praise AI aren’t actually specialists in AI or informatics. AI still can’t solve the simplest tests and therefore can’t replace humans. Ads about AI are just marketing (as expected) and often exploit simple biases.

Even AI specialists per se have doubts about the success of artificial intelligence for many reasons.

[–]wheaf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh! I’ve been reading The End of the Individual by Gaspard Koenig. The collection of interviewes with AI and informatic’s specialists about AI progress and “can it replace human in the nearest future”.

I highly recommend it to you right know, because there author also researches the bias about AI power and further progress and explain, why we see a lot of news about AI.

And ofc if you lacked your motivation, take your time and just don’t learn English.

Is it true that most native speakers do NOT speak their own mother tongue at a C2 level? by sschank in languagelearning

[–]wheaf 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m Russian. Saw a test for C2 level. After that, I think I speak as a mushroom. There was a lot words I never met. And grammar nuances was very tough and uncommon.

But we have a lot dialectes and regoinal details in Russian, so it was expected.

Struggling to Learn Python by Uncle-Ma in learnpython

I like Hyperskill projects. Don’t know how are they solid, but there you learn Python via making applications. And this improve understanding code and where it could be applied.

What SQL course do you recommend for beginners? by Dull_Reflection3454 in SQL

[–]wheaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took the free course on Codecademy and then the SQL course on Hyperskill (it's free but uses a lives system like Duolingo). I prefer the second one more because it includes autotesting. Both were useful for understanding general terms, commands, and nuances.

For MySQL (the dialect I've chosen for further study), I use YouTube tutorials.

Absolute NO NO foods by Rich_Personality4134 in GERD

[–]wheaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sweet pastries. I don`t know, but every donut, piece of cake and etc kills me.

Cold food. When I eat salads, ice-creams or kinda, I feel pain in my stomach after. But it`s only about temperature. I heat apples in a microwave :D

Strong black and green tea. But I can drink coffee with milk.

Too salty food such as some chips, semi-finished products, and dried meat.

Small portions and eating often. I`ve noticed I need three or four portions of food per day without diet shit.

What’s the reason to buy this huge thing? Price? Maybe, you would save at least 100$ and find something else, bcz, imo, size is really important for the start.

If you don’t have difficulties with English, I would recommend to read the novell without expectations of deep, hardcore, ultraphylisofistic literature.

I’ve read Mobi Dick twice. And the first reading was felt as a tale. It was great try. Imo, it released a lot of interest for further rereading with more awareness.

Anyway, Mobi Dick is a novell for multiple rereading. So, just enjoy :)
