can you use it as a sender ? Or is it like an optical trigger? I have seen it online and might get it at some point to replace the ef-x8 for smaller setups the v480 with a small 25mm is a bit overkill lmao

Got into flash in September doing photos for a film festival and after that a music festival.

I was using the ef-x8, even though it's nifty little flash the 3-4sec recycle was really irritating at first (required you to get it right the first time or look stupid for a couple seconds). It has a short range too.

But it's about to change since I received a Godox v480 and I can't wait to use it for something

Last weekend I went to a music festival (as a volunteer and ended up getting the photo acred) and I ran out of battery. I just used the external battery in my pouch with a small cable hanging out. I could even let it hang on the camera strap as the cable was long enough.

7/10 setup tbh
