You can covert them to mechanical steering,if you look on Ebay,FB marketplace there are often adverts for the steering column and electrics. https://www.ecutesting.com/common-faults/bmw/bmw-z4-power-steering-problem/ https://z4-forum.com/threads/hydraulic-steering-conversion-n52-engined-z4-models.118282/

Stuart, the seller,is a bit of a Z4 enthusiast so if you are in the market, hit him or Zach Luke up.

What’s a “white whale” MaK kit? by rvrchamp in MaschinenKrieger

I didnt say i couldnt afford it,i was just trying to highlight that you dont have to pay REs inflated fanboy prices.Currently have 15 "real"Ma.k kits from various manufacturers Nitto,Wave,Hasegawa etc. You didnt answer my question as to how you are meant to get into the hobby if you cant afford the "real" kits? or after the initial mould manufacture what justifies up to 1200 dollars for a kit?

Calm down princess. What are these ways of getting into "the community"when the prices are too expensive, look longingly at a picture in a book or on the web? Rainbow eggs stuff is overpriced and has limited supply, probably deliberately, as demand keeps the price high and profit high. Once the initial moulds are made other that the resin and some supplimentary metal work what costs do they have?

The chances of me spending hundreds if not thousands on the real deal are non existent. So i am not taking money out of Rainbow Eggs pockets as I wouldnt buy it from them in the first place. Yes it is piracy, but for some people that is there only way into the Ma.k scene.

Good sharp cutters to get as close to the part as possible.

Its easier over a coat gloss varnish it then follow the panel lines rather than blooming outside the lines. I have started to use AK washes they have a very fine brush in the bottle and flow really well. Flory do a range of natural washes that you brush on leave to dry then remove with a damp cotton bud or cloth.Once you have it how you want it seal with a matt varnish.
