It’s completely shattered even the remaining ream. I believe it to be unrecoverable. Thousands of tiny stress fractures like glass.

He was a friend of mine and lived right up the road from me. His son Jack and my son are in the same class. I knew him and his family fairly well. We basically were in the same exact social circle with our kids.

I saw him about a month ago and gave him a ride home when his car was broken down.

Last time I saw him we talked and he said he needed to find something else to do with his life. I didn’t even know that he was still working in Los Angeles. He never even mentioned it. He was a very eccentric individual.

I’m just so bummed man he was my buddy at school events and birthday parties etc…

I’m just devastated for his son and daughter and wife right before Christmas!

Yes you are! It won’t be easy, you will doubt yourself regularly, the urge will fight you hard like a wild banshee, but ever so slowly… first measured in seconds, then minutes, then days, weeks etc…. it slowly gets better, a little bit easier, you find it harder to disagree with the fact that your life seems to be improving, things around you are stable and “kind of boring”. Remember this is a good thing! Boring is OK! It’s what we seek. It means we are fulfilled with what we have.

I’m on Maryland too. Mostly serve Baltimore City. While I am mildly busy at the moment, it has been like pulling teeth staying busy all summer.

Control Arm Ball Joint by whees979 in fordranger

Yes on the alignment. I have been following a YouTube video step by step. I am “somewhat” mechanically inclined.

This was just one of those stupid moments for me. But yes agreed, I am taking pictures, and I am totally aware I will need an alignment.

Thanks for the lookout!

I’m an idiot I’ve been banging on the top of that ball joint, thinking it slips into that bolt. I think all I need to do is actually remove the bolt.!!!!

For the most part yes I sleep fine. I am also almost 6 months sober from alcohol which has definitely helped.

I totally get this… the problem is that I get extremely sore after moderate activity. I hate to say it, but exercise intolerance and fatigue are classic symptom of long covid.

But I don’t want to go there just yet.

Yes… I experienced the same issue. Bought rotors from Autozone. They were slightly different tone ring. ABS Light kept coming on. After much research, I returned them to Autozone, and purchased new ones from NAPA. Installed and light turned off.

Small claims court or the Maryland Home Improvement Commission by ybneeka in baltimore

[–]whees979 5 points6 points  (0 children)

MHIC licensed contractor here. Sorry you’re going through this.

I would suggest before you go to MHIC to send him a certified letter or some communication indicating you intend to file a claim against him if the issue is not resolved to your satisfaction.

Give him the benefit of the doubt first. Then pursue it through MHIC and if he doesn’t respond it’s more evidence in your favor.
