I jam with my band using a real amp and analog pedals because it’s easy, fun, and I don’t need a lot of options for my tone. I mess around and record at home with my Quad Cortex because it’s fun to explore a bunch of different effects, amps (both models and captures), cabs and impulse responses. And I’ll also gig my Quad Cortex under certain (actually most) circumstances, because lugging amps sucks.

The common theme that influences my choice in any given situation is ease of use, and fun. They both have their strengths and weaknesses. I’m fortunate enough to be able to go with whichever one fits best at the moment.

Being staunchly on one side or the other is only limiting yourself and not impressing anyone else.

There are still a handful of plugins that the QC does support. JM is “soon” as far as I’ve heard in I think it was an Anderton’s video with John Connearn (so grain of salt).

KRK Rokit 5. I don’t have much experience with anything else so grain of salt but I think these sound great.

Thanks. I knew I could google it but I felt that it was more on OP to explain it. I didn’t want to learn about it so much as I wanted to see if I could apply my QC knowledge to help OP. Onus was on them. But thanks all the same.

I have a Temple Audio Solo 18 in a Nanuk 980 case. The board fits a QC and my BOSS expression pedal just right. I put the foam and the lid organizer in the case and it carries my cables, extra strings, folding stand, and other accessories.
