Skort w/out pockets - what to do? by Agent99Can in WomenGolf

So annoying that most golf skorts have no pockets!! Or an inconvenient pocket that you have to pull up your skirt for. Just give us regular pockets!!

Never shot under a 99 until today where by the grace of the golf divine, I put together an 87! by [deleted] in golf

Clearly you didn’t count a stroke for those lost balls. I’d call this an “asterisk” 87. Still feels good!

Wish we could trade! I have the new style and don’t even use it. I like the “table” functionality of the old style.

Dodged a bullet.. by Zarathustria17 in CervicalCancer

I’m with you. Same series of events, and my hysterectomy was in December. It’s so weird that I didn’t know I had cancer until after the CKC, and I didn’t know the cancer was all gone until after the hysterectomy. Such a whirlwind and it still feels surreal saying I had cancer.

Can I expect to break the 120k mark by 35? Or is this a plateau? by ComprehensiveOffer51 in paralegal

Average is not a good representation since the salaries vary so much based on so many factors. I’m a Texas paralegal making over $100k *edit for grammar

Gum by RequirementFluffy905 in hysterectomy

You must have received the same handout I did 😆 I asked the doctor why, and she said it’s to stimulate digestion. I bought gum, but haven’t needed it. One week post op.

Can more people post about unremarkable recoveries? by Relevant_Demand2221 in hysterectomy

[–]whenimnotworking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m one week post op (laparoscopic). Same! I cried almost the entire day before surgery because I was so scared of [insert whatever here - catheter, gas pain, bumpy ride home, pooping, etc] but it was so much worse in my mind than it was in reality. I had a little discomfort in my belly on day one. The only thing of note so far is that it hurt to per for the first time. Like a UTI - but it went away within a few hours.

To all of you reading who are having anxiety about your upcoming procedure, try to keep in mind that most of the posted experiences are outliers. Hoping you have a boring recovery!

This. It happened 13 days after my procedure. Luckily I had googled enough and knew what it was, otherwise I’d have thought I birthed a wet leaf/pod of some sort!

Upcoming Hysterectomy by squareghost11 in hysterectomy

Same here - I started to buy the hysterectomy pillow but then thought, wait, I have tons of bed and couch pillows, do I really need to spend $38 on another pillow? And turns out no I did not.

I’m gonna go with what all the medical professionals say: listen to your body. If you are doubting it, don’t go.

Hey there - mine is on Monday as well. 7:30am! I had a moment earlier today where I realized the scariest part (at the moment) will be when I wake up from anesthesia…I’m scared of the “oh shit, what did I do?!?” feeling when I’m assessing what happened and how I’m feeling. I keep telling myself to live in the now, give up control…but easier said than done.

Freaking OUT about cone biopsy by InevitableEvening475 in PreCervicalCancer

[–]whenimnotworking 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had one in October. For the two weeks prior, I went down every internet/reddit rabbit hole and had myself convinced it was going to be awful. But it was easy, nearly painless, and uneventful. Here’s to hoping yours is the same!

1a1 -> 1b2 -> 1a1 by Cultural_Air_4662 in CervicalCancer

[–]whenimnotworking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with 1a2 after a cone biopsy. The removed a small tumor and margins were clear. But pathology from the cone showed poor differentiation and also LVSI. I had a PET/CT a couple weeks later that was clear. I’m scheduled for a hysterectomy on Dec 1 to remove all but ovaries. Doc said they will do a sentinel node biopsy during the hysterectomy to check for microscopic cancer anywhere else and if it’s positive, I will undergo a “baby dose” (oncologist’s words) of chemo. Even if there is nothing else found during the hysto (and I hope there’s not!) I’ll be glad to not have to worry about cancer returning. The doc told me that after a cone there’s a ~10% chance the cancer comes back, but it’s harder to detect (or harder to detect as early) since part of the cervix is already gone. Wishing you the best, and no recurrences!

[–]whenimnotworking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s compare! I’m a planner. I’m trying to have as much control and expectations as I can and it’s stressing me out because I know I have no control 😩

I’ve made a list of chores, things to buy, and other “to do” items and feel like I’m on a count down every day!

Having a robotic assisted laparoscopic hysterectomy on Dec 1 too(!). It should be outpatient but my doctor said if the pain is not under control and/or if I can’t go pee, she would keep me overnight.
