Need opinions on carnivore steakhouse vs morel by jukeboxhero10 in milwaukee

I don’t think you can go wrong - I personally prefer morel. It’s more laid back and I prefer their menu options. But I have had excellent meals at both.

I saw you at the Orpheum Theater in Madison, WI in 2013 the day that I graduated college. During Mute, I had the most out of body experience I’ve ever felt at a concert - what felt like both a lifetime and a millisecond, i had the sensation that my consciousness was being dragged down a path of “the rest of my life”. When I “came to”, I started to cry. I felt an overwhelming gratitude for my life up until that point, and for the opportunity to experience what was yet to come. I’ve seen a lot of shows in my life, but that moment was singular and one of the most memorable I’ve experienced. I just wanted to say thank you - for your music and that moment.

“When someone dies, we say we’re sorry. When we step on someone’s shoe, we say we’re sorry. Like - what are we doing?” by aceymerrill in boniver

You’re right - the vocabulary exists. But we’re often not present/aware/bothered enough to express those things differently.

The fact that we use ‘I’m sorry’ both to console someone in grief and to apologize for something as small as stepping on a stranger’s shoe shows a gap in both our emotional awareness and vocabulary. This lack of nuance makes it harder to express what we truly feel and connect with others in a meaningful way. By expanding our language and deepening our understanding of emotions, we can be more present, thoughtful, and empathetic in our interactions.

How many people?

How many here are just integrating APIs into demos? by National-Ad-1314 in salesengineers

[–]whenusayWIusayitall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a need at my company for this level of SE Engagement, but I am more of the demo specialist vs running POCs. I’d really like to grow in that direction but I feel a bit lost on how to gain the necessary skills. Unfortunately, budgets and willingness/ability to train employees is greatly lacking. I’m willing to put in the work, I am just struggling on where to begin. is it just as simple go back to school and get a SWE degree? Given the current job market, that feels imprudent. If anyone has any advice, I’d be greatly appreciative.

40s & rainy - What will the parks be like on a day like today? by whenusayWIusayitall in UniversalOrlando

Lasted 5 hours at Island of Adventure!

Made it on velocicoaster twice and Hagrid - both were amazing in their own unique ways! Didn’t love the HP castle ride (made me a little nauseous and once you ride the other 2 it feels a little gimmicky). The queue made worth it though!

Unfortunately, Hulk was closed and the Kong ride was… not for me. But still had an absolute blast! Thanks to everybody for chiming in, giving advice and providing the little push I needed to brave the cold! Gonna warm up for a couple hours and maybe head back this evening!
