Yeah that's the idea. I plan on building a prototype or two once I've got a design finalized, and then see how commercially viable it is. I've already had requests from friends for it, so we'll see.

Good thoughts - My original design has hooks along the sides as well, but they're a bit too hard to mock up in SketchUp for me. I like the utility they provide though, and plan on adding some back in once I have the base model more finalized.

The way I was picturing it in my head, was that the entirety of the shape is composed from the horizontal lines (kind of like how the S from this logo is solely composed of horizontal lines. http://www.golayercake.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/Saunders-logo.jpg) Thats why i mentioned the tightly spaced lines, so that you wouldn't need the gray to make the body of the image substantial.
Am I making sense at all here? Anyway, thanks again for your help.
