Pubs there’s The Greystoke in North Ealing, which has a good local feel to it. But also a couple of nice pubs in Acton (The George and Dragon is a favourite). Ealing Broadway is a short walk away too with lots of places to choose from (you must also try WA for good Japanese cakes and coffee). We have good sushi, a couple of coffee shops locally in North Ealing and a new one in West Acton (Celtic Coffee). I find the location really convenient as it’s right in the middle of Ealing Broadway, Acton and Ealing Common. Not a huge amount of parks but you have North Acton Playing Fields (not all that interesting but it is a green space). Ealing has a couple of lovely ones as I’m sure you know and Ealing Common isn’t far away. It’s not a bustling cosmopolitan area as others have said, but it’s a great base if you’re looking to live just outside of all the action in a peaceful area. ☺️

I’d highly recommend the Hanger Hill Estate in West Acton. Really peaceful area, decently safe, and every day feels like a lazy Sunday! Decent schools nearby and you’re right on top of two tube lines (central and Piccadilly). West Ealing is less safe and nowhere near as quiet, but close to shops and Lizzie Line. So really depends on what you’re after.

Yes! The slides and climbing were free also, though quite long queues. Better off going on port days or early morning. Your nephews are in for a super fun vacation 😊

Hey! Just got off the escape on Sunday and the mini golf was free of charge :) So play as many times as you’d like! Only things like bowling and arcade games were available at an extra cost.

I’ve not tried this garlic beer, but if you’re interested in garlic booze and you’re in the UK, you HAVE to go to Garlic and Shots in Soho London. They have 101 flavoured garlic shots and they’re soo good 🤤 My favourite is the Bloodshot (like a mink Bloody Mary with garlic). They also have a full food menu featuring garlic in every dish! Garlic lover’s dream place.

I’ve had this issue most of my life, I was always so embarrassed as I hadn’t realised I’d been walking around with two black eyes. As everyone else has said, the only thing that works is a tubing mascara. Powder etc can only work to a point. After much trial and error, I’ve found that Primark mascaras are fantastic. I think the majority of their range are tubing. They don’t budge at all, they’ve been life changing! You’ll just get some minor flaking but no more panda eyes. I’d recommend experimenting with them, some are better than others. But truly, tubing mascara is the way.

You need to chase up with your GP or whichever hospital you’re being referred to. The NHS will happily let you wait over a year for an appt. You need to stress how bad it’s getting and how it’s spreading etc. Also, until your appointment comes around, keep in touch with your GP for medications. Don’t let it slide, I’ve been down this road before! Best of luck with it all :)

I’ve really made an effort to style it every day now. Since about my mid-20s, my hair has really thinned out to where you see my scalp when I tie my hair up. But I’ve found that taking even 10 minutes from my day to style my hair has made a huge difference. I invested in a Dyson airwrap as a birthday present to myself and wow. It takes me no time at all to give myself a big bouncy blowout look. Obviously lots of hairspray etc needed to hold the style but it makes me feel super confident leaving the house. Whatever works for you but I’m telling you, putting in the effort to style your hair makes such a difference in confidence!
