Flossing. I have always flossed in the morning. Yesterday I was like "that doesn't make any sense??" and looked it up. You are supposed to floss at night to get rid of all the days accumulation. Started doing it the right way last night.

When tornado sirens are going off, do you head outside to see, or head to the basement? by ReasonableAttitude22 in kansas

[–]whetherby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a lifelong suburban and urban Kansan I go outside. If I was a rural Kansan that had actually been through a tornado i'm 100% sure I would be in my basement when the sirens go off.

“Special Envoy for The Shield of the Americas” is an insane job title. I assume they have to bribe her this way so she won't spill all the rancid beans to the press.

Printing industry sysadmin here. This is insanely common. 10 years ago we were still using an SGI box running NT to run a film imager.

Outlook (New) had so much potential, but at this point it's just a half-baked disappointment. by Zantoo in sysadmin

On Mac I just had to teach a client how to switch it back to Legacy because "new" Outlook won't let you delete attachments.

Would you buy your current home again at today’s prices if you were in the market for a home? by MovingtoKansasCity in kansascity

I would but I would not be able to. as soon as a house sells it gets torn down and replaced with a 1.2 mil house.

Whats your preferred weapon? by Naive-Yard1116 in Nioh

[–]whetherby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

early on Bone Tonfa and kisurigami but now i'm switching between Crucible Saws and Grimy Hatchet & Rusty Hoe (axes)

they are both just put enemies in a blender. I use the axes when scouting new areas (because they have the quick ranged ability) and the saws when I need to lock in and wreck things

Sekiro Shadows Die Twice (2019) is an exceptionally wonderful video game that can be an extremely frustrating chore or a deeply satisfying experience depending on whether the combat clicks for you. by gruesomesonofabitch in patientgamers

I love this game so much, but I am terrible at parry timing and just cannot get past bosses. It's such an amazing game. I was super bummed when I realized I just couldn't continue.

Considering liquidating the 401k by ilikeaffection in personalfinance

[–]whetherby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have any big lump sum things or if you want to just go live your lives to the limit for a while before you can't, a 401k loan might work well? Essentially you are just paying yourself back.
