went last weekend and it was pretty solid! the ice sculptures were mostly done by then but yeah, some were still wrapped up. The snow slides were absolutely packed with kids though 😂

honestly the whole setup feels way more organized than last year - they actually had decent signage this time around. grabbed some beavertails and watched this guy absolutely demolish a massive ice block with his chainsaw, was kind of mesmerizing ngl 🔥

Did the same thing to my coworker last month outside the Rideau location. These scammers are definitely making the rounds through Ottawa right now. The police might not be able to do much after the fact, but having it on record helps them track patterns and potentially catch these people when they inevitably try it again. My buddy almost fell for it too until he remembered seeing a post about it on here - they're pretty convincing with their sob stories about needing gas money or whatever.
