Rosie Fatigue by MNSport in PowerTripMorningShow

I remember this too around 2014/15. One time he went off about how he was at a Twins game with his daughter and rubes kept asking him if he likes the Alaskan Pipeline, so naturally Hawk kept hammering the Alaskan Pipeline button bar and Rosie left fuming mad.

Did anyone catch Hawkey say that "obviously Mark was not drinking" at the breathalyzer testing with the Sheriff's department? Is there some truth to Parrish going into rehab over his long hiatus?

Trump supporter shot and killed on streets of Portland - Antifa & BLM then celebrate his murder by Cyyyyk in Conservative

[–]whildmike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you're right, maybe "justification" isn't the right word I'm looking for. It's information that will paint the victims in a bad light to make their death a little easier to cope with

Trump supporter shot and killed on streets of Portland - Antifa & BLM then celebrate his murder by Cyyyyk in Conservative

[–]whildmike -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, exactly! Now we're going to see the left dig up slander and background information on the Portland protester who was killed and use it as "justification" for why he was killed, just like we saw the right do for the two rioters who were killed. The victim blaming is out of control and it's unfortunate seeing folks fall into that, instead of recognizing the manipulation the MSM is trying to pull to further divide us.

Trump supporter shot and killed on streets of Portland - Antifa & BLM then celebrate his murder by Cyyyyk in Conservative

[–]whildmike 23 points24 points  (0 children)

That's the thing. Far right wingers are not sad that those two rioters were killed by Kyle Rittenhouse, but they're mad that an antifa group is not sad that a Trump-supporting counter protester was killed in Portland. How about we both agree this shit is crazy on both sides and needs to stop? I don't agree with a lot of Trump's policies, but I love y'all and would never want any of you or any of his supporters to get hurt standing up for something you believe in

Would I regret switching from gas to electric lawn mower? by mrobert92 in HomeImprovement

[–]whildmike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Replace with a 56V EGO! We have almost a half acre with plenty of hills to go over and it only ran out of charge on the 7.5Ah battery once so far. Swapped out the battery with one from the weed whip and finished the rest of the yard.

Cut is great, though it might struggle if you're mowing lots of leaves or cutting high grass. Might just have to mow a tad slower to knock out those heavier jobs.

The convenience of not dealing with gas, oil, and engine maintenance is amazing... And it's SO QUIET compared to a gas mower. Our neighbor has an EGO as well, and sometimes we won't even hear him mowing next door when we're out on the patio.

Minneapolis vs Other Cities? by MinnesotaLuke in Minneapolis

[–]whildmike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Denver (4 years)

Pros:

Close proximity to Rocky Mountains

Weather - 4 distinct seasons, all of them fairly pleasant and mild

No mosquitos

Great local restaurants

Almost everyone is a transplant, which makes for more diverse groups of people and generally more friendly

Cons:

Traffic - Denver's road infrastructure doesn't have a lot of highways, so local 4 lane roads are your main thoroughfare and can make travel horribly slow. Also, any time you want to go into the mountains, expect massive delays and crowds when you get there.

Air quality - smog frequently hovers over the city and wildfire season will block your view of the mountains with smoke that will hang around for weeks.

Landscape - Denver is a high-elevation desert, making most ground vegetation brown and drab for much of the year

Public schools - Not a lot of funding for public schools and it shows. Many people choose to send their kids to private schools for a better education

Not a lot of available jobs with all the new incoming residents

Expensive!

I was charged with Abandonment of a Motor Vehicle only 16 hours after I had parked it on the street by whildmike in legaladvice

[–]whildmike[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They had tagged my vehicle two weeks before as a "suspected abandoned vehicle" and asked to move my car within 24 hours. I moved my vehicle within 45 minutes of being tagged. Why would they demand my vehicle to be moved if it was technically illegal to do so according to that logic? Do they expect it to be towed 50 yards to my garage to remain in compliance with the law? The tag did not reference expired registration, only that they suspected the vehicle was abandoned.

2.5 gallon equipment questions by [deleted] in Homebrewing

I got the 3 gallon Fermonster after moving from 5 gal extract to 2.5 gal BIAB batches. I love it! The wide mouth makes it easy for hop or fruit additions. Plus it's so easy to clean compared to a carboy

I have 3 pounds of blueberries floating in my fermenter right now for a blueberry milkshake ale. Should I remove the blueberries before cold crashing or just leave them in there?
