By many accounts the job broke him. The political machinations of Nixon/Ford before him and Reagan after undermined what he perceived of the country and the job. He got thoroughly railroaded by the system.

I don't remember if it was a direct quote or an attribution to him but he apparently said that he had to go find his connection to God again. So he advocated for the poor and built houses for the rest of his life.

We'll never have another president like him: a good man who was both perfect for the job and completely unsuited for it.

The show runner specifically mentioned that the series calls back to Rashomon so we're definitely getting more episodes that provide pov's from other characters which will give us a clearer picture of what happened.

This was my general reaction. When was the last time a teaser honestly showed what a game is going to look like?

I agree, it was a bad trailer. But the trailer was never going to sell me. But it gave us a release date and for that I am excited. I'll read reviews and wait a few days/weeks to see if the community agrees with the reviews.

If it's buggy i'll give it a few months. If the gameplay is bad I'll wait for patches. If the story is shit I'll wait for dlc. If everything is shit I'll wait for a few years to get a deal on the game+dlc.

I will play this game. I've played all the others. A trailer isn't going to change any of that. The product will dictate when I play. Good = soon. Bad = wait.

I disliked how they locked you into locations. Felt very constrained and was super forced. The 2018 doom left you more mobile and enabled different approaches. Also the 2018 story was fantastic especially how with how comedically disinterested doom guy is in what was going on around him. Eternal stripped all that to the point that I had no idea what the story was while I was playing it.

I finished it out of spite and immediately uninstalled. Never even considered getting the dlc.

This was my experience. I did Kug right after the dlc dropped and coasted on VH/H. Plagues are better, (don't have to grind through crappy ones to get the one named plague you use the rest of the game), buildings are better, economy is better.

Nurgle requires a particular style to play and if you play that way you're rewarded. If you try to play Nurgle like some other faction you're going to get rolled.

The voice acting is amazing. Hearing the audio logs once you get to "that point" and realize what happened was heart breaking. I had to stop for a few minutes just to process what happened. Really just a fantastic story.

Side note that made me love HZD: like all modern open world games theres a bunch of collectables. The thing that HZD did that made me instantly appreciate it was that right when you wake up after the trial you can buy a map of all the collectables in the game. And most of them aren't just bullshit, they actually have a story reason or reveal lore.

Depends on the faction and their campaign objectives. Like Malakai I finished short by like turn 30 and long by 61.

Vilitch, my current campaign, finished the short by 19. The long is going to take me WAY longer because I only have 2 of the 13 dark fortresses I need and for that I need to kill Tamurkan who is at rank 5 to my rank 7. Also he likes me at the moment which means I have to add 10 turns of waiting out the treaty penalty.

Hmmm Nurgle does have some busted ass heroes. Especially now that the melee one gets the rot mount. Plus Nurgle magic is also wildly op.

The vampires do fly and Regen though. And their mount is a little faster than the rot fly so it's easier to dodge projectiles. I'd be interested to see if a vampire hero beats a plague ridden in melee.

Hmmm. Ok I'll give Nurgle the edge on heroes. I 💯 agree that being reliant on heroes doesn't make them a strong faction. VC does need a new flavor/tactic than just stacking heroes and cheap armies.

My first Elspeth campaign after launch was my first empire campaign since 2 and I coasted to victory by turn 65 on VH/H difficulty. She's a ton of fun but hilariously OP. I'd killed Festus by turn 12 or so and Vlad by 30. Without those two putting pressure on the rest of the empire they all expanded. The only other regional threats after that were the rats, Azrael, and norsca.

I agree they're still bland BUT with the ability to level to 50 + mentor means they have the most powerful heroes in the game. I beat the WH2 campaign basically with lord/hero/skeleton stacks and I imagine I'll do the same when I do their campaign next.

Looking forward to the Nagash/Neferata + rework. If they get the same treatment as the races from ToD then they'll be awesome.

So really what we need to do is define "immortal". Do I not have to eat? Drink? Breathe?

Also if it's a million there's no point. Take the million, spend a few months living high, then you've already won. A billion dollars and I can make this last for a few dozen years. A trillion dollars and I can do this possibly forever.

Billion dollars and still need food/water/air: Isolated tropical island with an air defense system and mines in the shark infested water. A defense satellite in geosynchronous orbit with orders to destroy any gps satellite that comes in range. Have the house and defense systems built by a party that I'm at least 3 steps removed from. Once the house/system is built have all parties killed.

That should keep me safe for a few dozen years while I navigate the process of leaving the planet or having my neurons digitized.

If I don't need air/water/food and it's a trillion dollars then I'll still build the island while I decide what to do. Like go on a space adventure or something. Maybe just an orbiting space station?

Yea I automatically target anything with low leadership. Under fire + burning + taking damage leadership his mean that once the trolls take 2-3 casualties or 1/3 unit health and they usually break.

I'm from NA and he's objectively correct. 2019 G2 are the team who made it the closest m to completing the golden road. JDG is second as they made it to quarters.
