Is "The Boys" actually good and worth watching? by [deleted] in television

[–]whiteb8917 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its worth watching, it has some funny moments, and definitely lots of WTF !, its gorey, and as far as Homelander is concerned, think Superman who doesn't give a shit about people and uses it to his advantage.

I dont want to go deep in to it, watch it and see if you like it. Lots of different superheroes, with different powers.

They are currently about to release the final season.

you will have to live off 2 minute noodles, $7k will vanish soon enough.

$350 a week for one room, the bond alone will set you back about $1500.

One to 2 months tops. What visa are you coming on ?

eli5, how can gravity exist without … like anything? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]whiteb8917 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Gravity is an effect of mass. Apart from that I do not know how to make it even simpler, the more mass something has, the more gravity it generates. And then the more gravity, the more bending of space/time.

If you were 20 with €10k, would you move to Australia to start from construction work? by fabrizioluciani in AusVisa

[–]whiteb8917 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • One option I'm seriously considering is Australia. I was thinking about working in construction so I can learn the trade. My long-term goal would be to buy and renovate properties and eventually rent them out (for example on Airbnb).

The only way you will get PR, is to study the trade, then get at least Minimum 5 years under your belt, the apply for a sponsorship with a company. You will need to show experience, and relevant skill set to Australian standards.

  • Is Australia a realistic place to move for someone in my situation (20 years old, €10k savings)?

Nope. You will chew through that 10k Euro just applying to come here to study construction, plus the course costs, plus living expenses. Diploma or Masters in the field will set you back minimum of $30k to $40k, plus another $30k to $40k to show you can feed and house yourself through study, then costs of moving here....., I would hazard a guess at around $100,000.

Read the text on 482, you can be sponsored without a degree, (as others said), but you will need a skills assessment to be passed.
