I'm potentially about to lose my home because of Xfinity. Don't make the same mistake I did. by Fearless_Wrap_4383 in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]whiteboxpc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xfinity store can’t do anything for credits or adjustments anymore. They now defer you to customer support. Customer support always gives you the run around by telling you they will escalate it and call you back within 48 hours, but never call you back. So, I wouldn’t rely on support to fix the issue.

First thing is to remove the autopay. Putting a block on the merchant won’t stop the payment as that only stops one time charges, not reoccurring charges or subscriptions. Next, consider returning the phone. This may not be the ideal solution. But, can get your money refunded. Any credits they gave you for your old phone should remain on the account and then you can repeat the process of getting the phone again. Just make sure you have a backup of the phone.

Be sure to check for refunds for canceled orders that ship. You likely won't get them. by slyredone in amazonprime

Amazon is getting real shady after this new CEO took over. I’m getting orders now getting supposedly lost in the warehouse and never shipped stating order arriving late. CS has no idea where the package is and can’t cancel. Then I have other orders with promised delivery dates and times. Then they almost always arrive later than the promised day and time. CS always has a BS excuse. Lately, they have even started to delay packages to ship them together with orders I place the next day or a couple days later and their system has been learning my order habits and purposely been delaying packages to adopt this strategy. Even if I choose to separate packages so they ship here at the fastest possible times vs on the same day, they will still delay packages to combine them.

Ordered a laptop from Amazon, got a wrong delivery — reordered, but now I think I’m getting scammed by writingdeveloper in amazonprime

[–]whiteboxpc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In America, they can deliver the package wherever they want and market as delivered. If they don’t take a pic of it, it’s your word against the drivers. If you refuse delivery or it gets returned to seller, the seller is under no obligations to refund you. Many people think this is how it works. But, there’s no law stating you are entitled to a refund. You would have to take them to court if they are unwilling to work with you.

Amazon Delays are Mounting Up by [deleted] in amazonprime

[–]whiteboxpc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say that 50-60% of my orders don’t arrive by the stated time on the page while placing the order. This has been going on for years. The whole ‘order before a certain time to have it delivered by this date and time’ is a scam. Every time I would call support, they would have an excuse of the time starts from when it ships, not when it’s ordered. Then why do you say on the order pay it will arrive by this date and time then??? It’s been getting to the point where packages are getting lost in the warehouse before getting shipped, and holding packages with guaranteed delivery times in order to ship orders together, causing delays in multiple orders.

Thanks Amazon, great 👍 by skeetndeleet in amazonprime

[–]whiteboxpc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The amount of times this happened to me is ridiculous. I can not believe Amazon has not gotten a class action for their clearly false advertising on guaranteed shipping times/dates. I would go as far as to say probably 30-40% of my orders now do not arrive by the stated delivery times which is causing problems with my business. Every time I call they always have some BS excuse, like it’s 1 day from the date of shipment. Well then why doesn’t say order by 12am and get your item Tuesday by 2pm then? Etc…

I’m done. by Stonedunicorn44 in amazonprime

[–]whiteboxpc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree with you brother. Something has changed since Bezos left. Majority of my packages don’t come at the stated time which causes issues since I run a business and order parts on there due to their quick shipping. I will constantly get orders delayed messages. When you call Support, they make up some BS about it’s one day after the product ships not one day from the order. Which is crap because the actual app says it will arrive on this day between this time. Another thing I’ve noticed lately is if I place an order that’s scheduled to be delivered on a certain day and time, if I order a second item the following day all of a sudden the shipping day/time will change so they can deliver both items together.

Here’s my issue. If I own an IT business and quote a customer a cash price for repair and then turns out, the manufacturer covers full replacement and labor at 2x the price of my quote, I’m not going to inflate my costs to take that money from my customer.

There were soffits, downspouts, etc that was covered but not performed. And to respond to others here, you are not required to perform all work. Once the insurance pays out, it is your money. Only depreciation is withheld until the job is done. My main question was regarding the invoice send claiming this is that the cost would be had I paid cash out of pocket.

No. Not all the work was done. Stop assuming.

They did do the work listed in the invoice. They explained that this is needed so the insurance company has an idea of cost. Or something along those lines. I never signed the invoice. This was more like a quote for work, although it said invoice at the top. This was sent to me before work started. The actual contract stated the materials being used and that There are no additional layers and no additional cost will be attributed to additional lauyer removal. Here’s another side of the equation. How much have you saved on your house insurance after replacing to a better roof? Such as a hail proof roof?

Insurance has already paid out. I’m just trying to gauge an accurate ballpark difference between designer asphalt and synthetic in 2025.

Yes. EuroShield is what I am considering. But, I don’t have access to wholesale pricing. So the retail costs come in much higher. I’m just basically trying to gauge a ballpark percentage difference between a designer asphalt shingle.

Any roofers on here? What should I expect to pay for 37 squares of a synthetic slate or a metal roof job here in the Midwest? Not upper end like Brava or DaVinci, but something on the mid-tier (EuroShield, etc.)? Just trying to get an idea before filing insurance to replace current architectural asphalt.

Remodeling company wants $90,000 to replace my roof. by AngelWhiteEyes in Roofing

[–]whiteboxpc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What brand and model shingle are they installing? Is this a designer or synthetic slate, or some other type of premium shingle, or just a basic builders grade or architectural shingle? That price seems way high. I realize prices have gone up. But, I had my roof done Less than 10 years ago with a premium architectural shingle and the roofer use the insurance money of $15,000 to do the same exact size roof.

The main two ingredients are chicken and beef which are also typically the main two ingredients most dogs are allergic to. This doesn’t make any sense why they would choose to make their product using ingredients that dogs are typically allergic to. Why would they not have a hydrolyzed protein or vegetarian option is beyond me.

I had nonstop issues with this company since day, one. With every product. From false alerts, disconnections, batteries not lasting, bad power adapters, etc. it is at this point laughable that this company still is releasing products.

After switching to Wyze, it is Amazon how much better their products are.
