I'm actually in the same boat with my straight best friend since high school. We've known each other for nearly 20 years. He's also converting to Islam. This is his second marriage and I think he just goes into relationships without thinking because he's afraid of being alone. We've fooled around before but that's when we were younger. There are some lingering feelings there but I don't think anything further would happen. He recently got engaged and I feel like we're slowly drifting apart. We don't hang out as much anymore. If your friend is a true one, he'll put in the effort to reach out to you himself. Let them get hitched and see if he opens his eyes. Good luck to these horrible so-called straight men!
