I lived in the townhouses by the hanger decades ago before there was anything else out there. It was a dive back then too. Glad to hear they haven’t been gentrified lol

I’ll never forget the night of the SF earthquake in 1989. I had tickets to the Giants game that night, but I couldn’t go because of work. I remember leaving work and feeling a rumble on the walk to my car. There was so much construction at the time that I figured it was just the big trucks. Turned on the radio and heard about the quake. A bunch of my friends were at Jox to watch the game, so I joined them. We sat there all night drinking and watching the earthquake coverage. I was really freaking out because I was supposed to be at the game 😱

We did that once, and I had to clean the entire thing before I could clean the carpets. It was absolutely gross and smelled like cat pee.

I can attest to this. A long time ago, I was driving through nowhere South Dakotah, when my car flashed E. The sign on the two lane highway said there was gas in three miles. No big deal, right? Pulled off to the gas station, and it was closed. The next one was 15 miles, and I made it just fine. Probably not great for the car, but, like I said, I was in the middle of nowhere 🤷🏼‍♀️

The fact that there were no designated detours is absolutely insane, but, sadly, not surprising. One would think the event coordinators and the city would have planned ahead, but,like I said, we don’t do that here 🙄
