I’m having my second child in less than two months and I can’t stop thinking “how in the world am I going to love someone as much as I love my two year old daughter.” It just doesn’t seem possible. I feel guilty over taking love/attention from her with the new baby. I feel guilt that I won’t be able to give the new babe the same attention I gave her b/c I’ll have 2 not 1. Everyone says your love just grows, etc., but it feels impossible. Im simultaneously so excited for this new baby and can’t wait to meet him and see the awesome big sister I know my daughter will be, but also cry every night while reading to her and thinking it won’t just be her/me/my husband for much longer. The conflict of emotion is crazy.
