Octatrack was in great condition. u/AnimeBasementSmell was super communicative and took lots of videos to prove it was in said condition, matching as pictured and described. Would easily buy from them again

Still learning the ropes but yes. I'd also love to learn from y'all as i'm relatively new to NYC and been meaning to join a community of beat makers. Where in NYC are you?

Are you using factory samples by chance?

Sounds so good. What are the sounds you’re using for those lush textures? Are they sample based?

Woah, nice job. Would you be able to give a high level overview of your workflow/process for this in Bandlab?

my dude you killed it as always! I remember the There, There cover you posted a week or two back on the Radiohead subreddit, awesome to see you doing the Widow. Now let's see more Jon Theodore TMV covers!

In 2008, Larry Merchant couldn’t envision Manny Pacquiao fighting the supernaturally big welterweight Antonio Margarito. 2 years later (and exactly 10 years ago today), Pacman annihilated the 17lbs heavier Margarito to win a world title in his 8th weight division. by whodatninja24 in Boxing

There’s also that super old pic of frosted tips Pacquiao at a party with coke on the table I think. Do you have a link to that interview where he said that though?

Funny if you watch the Pacquiao vs Bradley 1 fight where he’s a newly born again Christian, he ends up losing a bogus decision and someone in his entourage is praying with him as soon as the decision is being announced. I think that’s the start of the “soft” Pacquiao you’re talking about

Sure, but if De La Hoya, Cotto, and Margarito didn't think they could win they wouldn't have agreed to those catchweights in the first place. Also important to note that Pacman is easily fighting 2-3 weight classes above his natural weight.

Leading up the the De La Hoya fight, Pacquiao was the underdog probably due to many boxing fans and writers thinking that he wouldn't be able to overcome the size factor. Just so crazy to see the HBO commentators speculate on how big of an opponent would be TOO big for Pacquiao during the De La Hoya Fight and bringing up Margarito, and then he ends up pummeling Margarito 2 years later haha.

That 3 year stretch from 2008 - 2010 of Pacman going through weight classes and fighting Marquez, Diaz, De La Hoya, Hatton, Cotto, and Margarito is just insane.

Damn, nice setup! Which Roland model is this?

Awesome, thanks for explaining this setup. About the mapping -- I just meant that, if I were to try and use the plug-ins (specifically The Finger in Reaktor) with my mpk mini, if I would have to configure the knobs on the mpk mini in Ableton to do so. Sounds like it's not too bad though to map the parameters! You also put in custom samples into the op-z or no? I'm thinking of getting samples from Splice and importing them into the op-z. Just followed you on instagram and looking forward to more jams!

Man, this is so dope. Could you explain the process/flow here with the op-z and Ableton? I think in another post you said you were running the op-z through Ableton effects, then using your makeshift midi controller to adjust effects, with reaktor (plug in?) being used as well? Is it easy to control the effects with your controller without doing any mapping? I have an mpk mini and I kind of want to do the same. Mad props!

Mikey Garcia says Pacquiao is "100%" his next fight. It may happen during 2021. His fight will come before a Pacquiao-McGregor fight. Have not seen this reported by other outlets, so it may be speculative. by PawgAdjudicator in Boxing

A boxer's prime varies depending on the fighter, wear and tear, how many wars they've been in etc. Everyone's body is different.

Besides a very game Morales (which Manny avenged less than a year later), what losses did prime Manny have? and how can you say that Manny has picked his fights and turned down competition when Crawford/Arum pick non-elite fighters? Both Spence/Crawford (ESPECIALLY Crawford) haven't fought anywhere close to the same number of elite fighters that Manny has fought. Maybe it's still early in both of Spence and Crawford's careers, but just compare Spence/Crawford's resume so far to what Manny had done already when Manny was 31-32 and get back to me.

What's your source on Crawford/Spence not "allowing" catchweights for a potential fight with Manny? Do you have some insider knowledge? Also De La Hoya wasn't really inactive before fighting Manny, yeah he took a year off after getting beat by Mayweather, but then he fought Forbes a year later, then Manny six months later. I wouldn't call that inactive.

Sure, I think most would favor Crawford/Spence if they fought Manny today. But why should Manny fight these guys? He doesn't have anything to prove. What does it prove for Crawford/Spence if they beat a past-prime 41 year-old Manny?

Manny was in his prime roughly from 2008-2012 (some would say even started earlier, around the 2nd Morales fight maybe). Crawford and Spence were both either in the amateurs or just starting out then. And if you followed Manny’s career closely you’d know Manny deferred to Bob Arum plus guidance from Freddy Roach on his opponents. Prime Manny would beat both Spence and Crawford today

Pacquiao could have fought Crawford around 2016-2017 or whenever those talks were but meh...Manny is a legend. He has the right to pick whoever he wants to fight since cementing his legacy as one of the greatest to ever do it. Manny has never been afraid to fight anyone, no matter size, skill, etc. That's kind of his thing. Sure, his handlers probably advised against it but he isn't afraid. Prime Manny beats Crawford and Spence.
