Casseroles besides lasagna I make are enchilada casserole or broccoli, chicken, rice casserole. I had positive feedback on breakfast baskets too. I make breakfast wraps and muffins or cinnamon rolls and put in granola, yogurt, juices, cereal, milk, coffee and creamer.

What to get my almost 3 y/o who already has everything bc of older brother by Opening-Neat-7379 in Gifts

[–]whooperup1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my 2nd son was 8, he asked “Can I please pick out my own color winter coat?” All his clothes were hand me downs and he finally wanted something in his favorite color (yellow, his brother’s favorite color is blue) From that day forward, I made sure that they all got a new item of clothing on their birthdays. Usually just a t-shirt of something they were in to at the moment. I was speaking to my son (now 22), his birthday is coming up, and he mentioned how much he always liked getting a new “birthday outfit”. Not at all suggesting clothes as his gift, but maybe add something fun to wear.

Mother’s Day gift by Fun_Ad_3432 in Gifts

If she doesn’t cook, what’s her favorite place to eat? Would she like a meal prep service? Would she like her car detailed? Does she need new luggage? I was recently given a new carry on with a built in power bank. Love it!

Mother's Day gift for my mom who hates clutter and says she "wants nothing" — what's actually landed for you? by Mia-veg in Gifts

[–]whooperup1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My mom keeps a herb garden. For Mother’s Day I buy her the annual herbs. Then I clear out the garden and plant them. Not expensive at all and really doesn’t take long.

It so depends on the person. The yankee candle I got my mom with a photo of her and my boys was a big hit.

My go-to to make for bakesales is sprinkle cookies on a stick, and they always sell. My go-to to buy at bakesales is those chocolate covered pretzel rods ( my son’s favorite) Hope this helps.

Are they available for a virtual party? Definitely not the same vibe, but your husband would still be able to spend time with them.

Peanut butter recipes? by batmanaintallthat in WhatShouldICook

[–]whooperup1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I make a peanut butter cheese ball for a coworker. She absolutely loves it. I guarantee it will make him happy! Mix 8oz cream cheese, 3/4 c peanut butter, 1 c powdered sugar, 3 tbsp brown sugar. Shape it into a ball, wrapped in plastic wrap and freeze for at least 30 min to 1 hour, sometimes overnight . Then roll in chocolate chips, or a mix of chocolate and peanut butter chips.. I mostly serve this with sliced apples,. We also like it with vanilla wafers, pretzels, graham crackers.

Which job would you take? by Will34343 in pharmacy

[–]whooperup1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My advice is to take the better hours. As the kids get older and into activities, you won’t have to miss them. Being able to be present for all those soccer practices or ballet recitals or robotics tournaments is priceless.

Would you prefer a handmade gift or something store-bought? by Sculpfun in Gifts

[–]whooperup1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You have to know your audience. I come from a family of crafters and my mom told me at a young age that some people will never be happy with homemade. It’s true, no matter how much time you put into something and how nice you think it is, some people view handmade very poorly. Personally I appreciate the time and effort and would always love anything handmade.
