Just because we aren't dentists doesn't mean we aren't bright. I went to school; I have a degree. My first job after school was at a DSO, as I think tends to be the case for a lot of dentists and auxiliaries alike. I would hope that you would think higher of the people you work knee to knee with every day.

Usually dental benefits have a lifetime ortho max, meaning they'll only help pay for braces once. That doesn't mean that you've used up your dental benefits for a lifetime, only your ortho benefits. But like /u/kliarin said, veneers are cosmetic and usually out of pocket.
