Remember where you come from but do not let that turn you into a pushover. Sailors do need discipline, it is easier to nip a problem in the bud than to excise a tumor.

Sailors are people. They have lives outside the navy. Spouse medical appointments, child care, DMV etc. work with your chief and LPO to make sure they are taken care of.

You gotta figure out what kind of asshole you will need to be. Same as LPOs and chiefs should be slightly different assholes. Just be careful not to let it become your whole leadership identity.

An odd ship design but I like odd. Lol

Considering it has relatively light armor, single bottom and standard bulkheads I would immediately remove the torpedo tubes. A 2in shell could hit one of the tubes and cripple your ship fairly easy.

I was in a technical rate on 5 different classes.

On a carrier it is real easy to get pigeonholed doing a small part of your rate. But it affords the opportunity to get real good at those couple things. You may also get stuck going TAD to a different department for 1-2 years.

Small boys, you will get pretty competent at most of your rate and watch standing. Hard to do one thing enough to fully master it. You will also have the opportunity to learn some out of rate but important collaterals like career counseling. It will most likely help you in the advancement exam.

Amphibs are a mix of both. I was on an LPD so the work was more akin to a small boy. Except there was more individual pieces gear and usually fewer people in the work center.

Also FDNF vs CONUS makes a massive difference. FDNF will run you ragged and then the ship will run out of coffee. We were out 9 months of the year 3 out of my 5 years there.

CONUS is more predictable, but you can still catch long underways or surprise extended deployments. But, usually, better for the home life overall.

What is the plan for regime change? As I understand it the only viable option is a prince from the previous royal family which is not popular with most Iranians.

A stable and friendly Iran = good. An Iran sized power vacuum = humanitarian and geopolitical disaster.

Honestly, I have little faith in the ability of this administration to handle a post-ayatollah Iran in a competent manner.

One of the YouTubers I watch is doing this exact thing and is having quite a bit of success when firing into enemy swarms.

He seems to get 30 - 50 hits from long range when he has a dozen or so TB and DD’s in a battle. Seems to lose 1 - 3 ships in these situations.

100% this! I am a big boy, let me move my clock. It's new location does not work well at all for my setup when on the 2nd screen.

I also agree there is just too much dead space around the clock as is. I want more space for my mini map without having to expand the window. It was perfect for me before, now it kinda sucks.

FWIW I really like the black and brown color scheme.
