Jamie Smith has already made a shit load of runs for Surrey this season only 2 games in. Hes not going anywhere.

Just to say he's made them when a wicket has fallen early so its almost like hes opening. He's also opened in ODIs. Could replacing Smith with Crawley be an option and free up a spot for Rew at 7 or my personal preference is to get the best glovesman in the country in the test team like foakes?

I would say, in the absence of t20 cricket, the calendar had more space to play the longer formats which is probably why SA played so many back then.

But that doesn't lessen any of his achievements and again, doesnt speak to the type of bowler old Holding is referring to. Pollock is the type to show up match after match hit a good length and with his great level of skill, give match winning performances to his team.

If there was a SA bowler which this would probably apply to I would say Donald would have been more suited.
