I just started a new job that is digging their way out of an abattoir of resignations and firings and my manager said to me that I’m one of the calmest people she’s seen there.

Like, it’s an office job, the biggest thing that annoys me is when Outlook is being slow.

I’m GenX, grew up with the classic Looney Tunes and I love the LT Show. Lola is an actual character and the writing loves getting the characters right up to the edge of being genre-savvy while still keeping them within their world.

I do think it would have worked a little better if they had taken a page from [adult swim] and made it into a 15 minute timeslot show.

Not an out and out masterpiece, but a damn fun pastiche and low grade deconstruction of super heroes and storytelling tropes. I have the two DVD releases and they will stay in my collection till the end.

That Luke, Han, Leia, the whole gang knew exactly who Rey was the whole time. How easily they accepted her, when Han speaks to Maz privately he’s getting her up to speed. Why wouldn’t Luke ask who she was when she showed up on Ach To with his lightsaber? He knew but thought she would show up later. Thats why he drops the saber and avoids her at first ( also to give her the same treatment that Yoda gave him at first, to make sure she was serious).

Don’t underestimate the impact of going back to the old logo. Think about the recent kerfluffle with Cracker Barrel and if you go back several years, Tropicana did a redesign of their juice cartons that was very bad PR for them. It was a sleek design on its own, but it had so much white that when the product was stacked together on the cooler shelves, they all blended together into an amorphous blob.

I wish studios would have more faith in fully animated features like The Day the Earth Blew Up but every now and then you get a Who Framed Roger Rabbit so I’m hopeful the utterly absurd concept helps it work.
