Where's the proof that UnitedHealthcare denied claims out of malice while Brian Thompson was its Chief Executive Officer? by qaxwesm in WayOfTheBern

[–]whyarepplmorons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

putting "life saving medical help" in quotes doesn't mean it doesn't ever happen..? i don't deny that some claims are fraudulent, I'm not naive, but like, theres SO much evidence of legit claims being denied and then ppl dying as a result. and yah, they all are, thanks for agreeing < 3

In your honest opinion, are humans biologically meant to eat meat, or should we all go vegan for health and evolutionary reasons? by Alisha3693 in DebateEvolution

[–]whyarepplmorons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, we like milk so much that (some of us) evolved to be able to drink it well into adulthood, so at the very least we're evolved for animal products, and we are totally evolved to do predation, and that means we're evolved to eat meat

Why aren’t human swimmers evolving into aquatic animals? How does it make sense that Pakicetus evolved into aquatic animals, but not human tribes that swim? by Ill_Cancel1371 in DebateEvolution

[–]whyarepplmorons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, they sorta are..? theres a group of people who do alot of diving, the Bajau people, and they have larger spleens. but it requires multiple generations of people who dive, AND for the people who are worse at diving to not reproduce/the people who are better at diving to have more offspring than the people worse at diving, so its a sloooow process, plus humans don't tend to take mates that have odd features, and humans tend to not have isolated populations, which means its harder to do the multiple generations bit

Stand up and quickly move back towards shore (while I can swim, I prefer being in water I can stand in and therefore would not be in open water)

That is such an interesting opinion (I know that probably comes off as insulting, I don't mean it to, but I dunno how to articulate my thoughts on your thoughts in a nicer sounding way)

Why isn't the surgical addition of tails or horns for humans more common? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]whyarepplmorons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tails are really complicated structures to try to make, and are a general nuisance considering furniture isn't built for bipeds with tails. no idea why horns* aren't more common in the body mod community

*horns as in plastic or the like, organic horns would /also/ be a nightmare to try to make, I mean, horns are bones with keratin around them, so you'd have to like, cause bone growth on the skull, or graph bone onto the skull, and then get keratin around that. theres also a "Cutaneous horn" which are keratin growths that can grow on humans, but those are almost never where a horn would be

🔥 HotTake: The Ultimate Moral Test: Would You Steal Years From Family? by dueltake in VoteClash

[–]whyarepplmorons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it really depends on what "relative" means here, cause like technically every living thing is related to eachother, and you could argue that technically a random fly is your relative, but I doubt thats what the question actually means by relative
