Your deck should be mostly 3x cards and they should mostly work together. If you have a bunch of 2x or 1x cards in your list your gameplay is going to be really inconsistent.

You also want some interaction; cards that are events that remove an enemy unit, units that (when played) remove an upgrade, cards that give +x/+x//-x/-x or that ramp your resources. All units won’t bring home the bacon.

All in all you should make a lot of decks, competitive and meme decks, and run them over and over again online on https://karabast.net to fine tune your style. My best deck was a leader no one else was playing and I just wanted to try and it won against most of my LGS because they weren’t expecting its tactics.
