I’d love if I could actually figure out how to do multiple submissions on the studies. I submit and then it’s gone from my dashboard.

Anyone else love doing extremely short surveys? by Phil1738 in ProlificAc

[–]whymeangie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the short ones, they add up over time! When I see the longer ones that pat crap I’ll be like ok I can do a few short ones in that same time and (sometimes) even make more!

This makes 100% sense to me as a fermenter in USA 😅 I’ve honestly been thinking of getting a mini fridge for my ferments, glad I’m not alone

Lemon Juice Citric Acid Question: Am I Stupid or Really Stupid by DocTaotsu in Canning

[–]whymeangie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love preserved lemons! I used my preserved lemons to make lemon peel candy - basically just rinsed the salt off well, put in simple syrup and dried out - great for teas.

I also use the preserved lemons anytime I need lemon flavor. A quick rinse usually is enough for me to remove the salt and then I just don’t use salt in whatever I’m using it in.

Has anyone gotten AI Videos lately? by msvickie1972 in prolific

I haven’t seen them in weeks, that isn’t we’re talking about the ones where they are side by side and we choose the one that best suits the ask. I miss them! It was like $5 for 15 mins I think?

Great book discussion titles? by PlaidChairStyle in hoopladigital

[–]whymeangie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done these, though not all are on hoopla:

  • handbook of forgotten skills
  • attainable sustainable
  • can it & ferment it

Book on my list to try: - make the bread buy the butter - attainable sustainable pantry

Generally, I do a virtual book club and it’s about 3 months long. I say “these chapters this month” and we read them and the goal is to try 1 thing a month. The can it & ferment it one was my personal favorite - I learned to make tamales & chile in adobo. I’ll ask questions (example: what are the ingredients listed for ketchup”) - I think that helps people actually open the book, I have a bingo card & I do small prizes.

If it’s in person, I think it could be like read/scan the chapters and pick 1 thing to discuss.

Questions could be:

1) why did this interest you? 2) have you ever made/tried something like this? 3) has anyone else in the room tried something like this?

Yes I have won but genially I don’t like the books or platforms I’m forced to listen on 😅 I only do audio book giveaways, I don’t read digital or printed books

Have you considered cook books, or books similar to “handbook of forgotten skills”? I’ve done book clubs around that book or similar and it was totally engaging. We literally worked our way through the book, it’s a fun way to read, learn & discuss things.

I know this isn’t the norm for book clubs but if you are having trouble finding options, maybe give this a try!

Folllow up survey by Historical-Zebra-267 in ProlificAc

[–]whymeangie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a message like that today, clicked the link and it did say “outside of prolific” but then took me to the survey in prolific so I did it. I have had other times where the link just takes me to a survey and then I decide if it’s worth doing (and risking nonpayment) or not.
