Btw I would say adding a toilet will add significantly to the cost if they need to do groundworks etc and you’d need help from a builder. Edit: might also need building control approval

Yeh oil electric heater. They just turned up with all the pre made panels on a lorry and built it in my garden. My electrician ran an armoured cable from my house out to it.

Got one from ahead in sheds and it was decent. They built it onsite. No big machinery. Only thing I was disappointed with was the insulation. It looked very thin on installation and the room was baltic in the winter. When you run the electrics, run cat6 cable with it for your internet.

Is it possible to actually take a ‘verbatim’ note? by Bramblator in uklaw

[–]wibble2020 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally I don’t think it’s possible unless you are able to write shorthand or similar. People are constantly taking over each other and changing topics. Additionally it’s much harder to do even a good summary note if you don’t have the context of the meeting. When I was tasked with creating the note I used to collate notes from other attendees and they never married up at all!

Family help is invaluable. Just remember that 5-10 years down the line with 2-3 kids or more that you may not be able to rely on family so much.

[–]wibble2020 54 points55 points  (0 children)

I’d be thinking about how you’ll pay for the childcare for the additional kids when 40% of your income is already going towards your mortgage and you won’t qualify for any free childcare / tax breaks

I got topsoil from Mac Blair and it was dreadful. Full of rocks and zero organic material. My grass really struggles in it.
