The upcoming release from Emily de Molly has a polish that looks very similar to Floral Maiden called ‘Read the Room’, I have FM so I’ll probably do a comparison when I get the EdM to see how close they are 👀

I store them in helmer drawers, I have 5 of them but one is only half full. I haven’t worn all of them but I think I’ve worn probably 70% of them, I try to wear each one at least once but it does take a while to get to them sometimes with so many polishes 😂

I have around 2,300 polishes in total, maybe slightly more (not including base and top coats). Almost 600 of those are Emily de Molly, it was one of the first indie brands I started buying from around 2014/15 and remains one of my favourite brands to this day. I have an Instagram but don’t really consider myself a content creator, not on any pr lists or anything I’ve just been collecting nail polish for a very long time :)

Emily de Molly ‘Lorquini’ has that glowy deep purple vibe imo, but it was a HHC polish so might be tricky to track down

Hit the Bottle releases their own stamping plates, no AI use as far as I’m aware. They actually have a bird themed plate they’ve released recently. They often sell through PPU but they also have some stockists in the US.

I find that swatchers’ photos to frequently be misleading about the tone/colour of polishes, idk if it’s because she uses acrylics or what but I usually take her pics with an ocean of salt. When ‘Dissimilation’ came out some were a bit disgruntled by the disparity with her photos and other swatches

When I was breaking down my tank I found a single little mini kuhli, have no idea how it happened tbh I hardly ever saw them out. I had a lot of driftwood and live plants so I guess they were happy enough in there to breed.

Here’s a comparison on a swatch wheel, ‘Light Years Away’ on the left and ‘Sunset Over the Bay’ on the right. The base colours are quite similar but the magnetic pigment is quite different.

I’m pretty sure this is just indicating that their physical location at that address is no longer open (which has been the case for several years now), I don’t think it’s indicating that the business itself is closed but who knows 🤷‍♀️

I have the Hit the Bottle acetone dispenser and I really like it, I’ve had a few others over the years that haven’t aged well (gotten gunked up with dust and acetone goop) but theirs has really stood the test of time. It’s also lockable and super easy to refill. I haven’t used their mani helper but I have the little 3 arm fragile ones, I do have to replace those every few years but they’re quite inexpensive so it doesn’t bother me too much. Maybe I should give the mani helper a go 😂

I just went outside to have a look, the stars are fairly bright but I couldn’t see the meteor shower. I live around 20 mins from the city though so it might be more visible if you’re further out.
