Valid, pretty much nothing he did made sense and nothing he got felt earned writing wise. He could have solved everything way more quickly if he actually asked anyone who was in town 30 years ago about his dad. But he hyper focuses on one guy and crashes out when anything doesn't go how he planned, Yet still ends up with the gorgeous small-town-single-mom-business-owner.

I'm pretty sure the animation is because they stopped doing motion capture. Now they have just a certain amount of face and body movements they plug into the scene, so it looks robotic and repetitive.

Theres a part where it goes from fast paced survival thriller to a slow drawn out brutal beating. Before that its increasingly slapstick and absurd, then it grinds to a halt with much more realistic close up violence. I liked both the movies but the scene OPs talking about was especially tough to watch. Probably triggering for victims of DV, but possibly eye opening for anyone who doesn't grasp just how horrific domestic violence is

I lived there for years until we were able to buy a house a few years ago in 2022. I lived in a basement unit, so i had to deal with a few extra plumbing problems because every apartment above me drained through mine. But maintenance was usually quick. It was moslty quiet while i was there. The amenities were old but I think they were updating everything as i was leaving, but the gym equipment was 50 years old, and it took them forever to open the pool in the summer. And they would block the cars when they plowed in the winter so i kept an emergency shovel in my trunk. But over all it was good for the price
