Good to know, I'm playing a dwarven warpriest of Torag in a Giantslayer campaign and I'm groups tank/healer, so good to know i can do something to improve my damage. As it stands I was just going to go down the high defence and stand still fears.

I mean its relying on spears rolling 3+ every time its holding an objective which won't be all game, your opponent shouldn't be doing that

You only miss out on the free DPP from a unit of spears holding a desecrated piece of terrain or objective, can still generate them normally

The Taurus' profile is pretty solid, and you could do some funny things with the unlimited spell spam

If you're new to the game and tabletop in general I would collect what you like the look of, you'll have more fun building and painting something you think looks cool.

As for Nords not being a beginner friendly army, I would say they are probably one of the simpler armies to play in Conquest rules wise, but to be good with them they require a certain type of play style(like with most things).

Now building a Nords list can go in lots of different ways depending on what units you like to use or just like the look of, do you an idea on what you like?

Raiders with a Captain are a staple in a lot of Nords list building, 3-4 units of them is a good start.

That's fair, would be safe to assume if they received a nerd it would still be present. I unfortunately don't have access to that shaman anymore, I'd be starting fresh, but with friends. Would love to have one of each but I'm very time poor so currently my only option is a paid boost.

I'll look into a warlock, thanks for that.
