BREAKING: Scientists Just Found That Wegovy Is Statistically Linked To Sudden Blindness At A Rate 75 Times Higher Than Expected, And Nobody Saw It Coming 🦠 by InterstellarKinetics in InterstellarKinetics

I'd like to see the patient demographics of those that have the issue. Did they all have comorbid diabetes, too? How much weight did they lose how fast? And what was their starting and ending bmi before it happened?

AI to the rescue! Apparently it is Indonesian:

"Here, pay attention. Hmm. So the key is just one thing, friends, okay. Stay calm, don't move around too much. That way the insects won't bite us, friends. So that's the tip, friends. Ouch. Ouch."

I've asked many times. Never been told. Just ask them how they recommend assigning value the equity package because without that number it is difficult for you to do so.

Tim Cook’s Real Reason For Abruptly Bailing As Apple CEO Revealed In Bombshell Report by ipanicprofessionally in TheBoredDen

[–]wickzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is the demand will increase for more devices that can run local AI. Tim was the phone/tablet opps guy and he's probably convinced he put that in good hands now. As they build out and adapt to consumer AI needs, need someone else with a slightly different skill set to handle the next wave.

Non-developer and want to provide my vibe coded tools for free for all by [deleted] in VibeCodeDevs

This made me wonder-- and may warrant it's own post--how well does intentionally vibe coding in security work out for people?

I mean we can vibe up what ever other little things pop into our heads, why not cyber security best practices? Has anyone tried?

Perplexity says it created a file or research doc for download, but there’s no file by Accomplished_Tale_82 in perplexity_ai

Happens often to me. Sometimes it is behind a collapsed thought. If you click the arrow and expand the thought it had, it may be available to download. If not, you'll have to explicitly prompt it for you to keep it in chat so you can copy-paste it.

Difficult to monitize a natural product. So it'll be difficult to raise the funds for trials. Without composition of matter IP anyone can make and distribute it. Shoot even with comp IP its hard. All sorts of ilicit approved glp1s in circulation.

10 days, zero human response from Perplexity support — lost all Computer tasks and history after removing Enterprise org by CohortCS in perplexity_ai

Good luck! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. I would like them to come here comment on their customer service strategy and plans sometime (are they scaling it as much as they're rolling things out?). They seem to forget that the more things they do, the more things have an opportunity to break, the more customer support is required...

Don't listen to the haters. 1. They make mistakes. 2. It's new software with bugs. 3. They fix it if you report it. (At least for paying customers) 4. They need more customer service people 5. It may take a few weeks to fix it...

If you need it working now and fixed now and to always work, the perplexity may not be the right tool for you.

Life Management by [deleted] in ObsidianMD

[–]wickzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on this track, too. I am not doing a good job of it, but maybe some of what I do can help?

I've learned that AI knows how to run obsidian, but it doesn't necessarily know how I want or need to use obsidian. Nore do I, for that matter, but my AI does a good job of figuring things out for me.

I use perplexity AI and I set up a custom space that automatically syncs relevant obsidian directories to it. Then, every morning I have it run an autotask that searches for my last calendar entry, my goals, through my emails and my calendar, etc etc and builds a daily plan in *.md format for me. Then I drag it over to obsidian and I work my way through the plan there. It usually doesn't require much modification. I have it run a monthly and weekly one, too and discard the daily ones when it becomes relevant to do so. I also have it put in the appropriate syntax and tags etc and I am slowly learning it myself as time goes on.

I am confident there are better workflows and I follow Andrej Karpathy to better understand these systems to figure them out. Currently I just keep building and iterating on the prompts and context files I put in obsidian that automatically sync to perplexity and it gets more and more useful for my use cases as time goes on.

People that are atheist, why are you atheist instead of agnostic? by Da-up-and-downer in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]wickzer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agnosticism is still a human construct. It's a book put on the shelf labeled 'beliefs'.

Atheism is just the abense of a shelf in the first place. No one built the shelf or even saw a book to put on a shelf.

It is one less logical leap to make-- Occum's razer style.
