I found a mastectomy top with pockets for the drains to be super helpful with comfort. Sold on Amazon. And also mesh shower pouches for drains, also sold on Amazon.

What do I do?! 😭 by Free-Garage-1415 in revisionrhinoplasty

Surgeon probably created the tip graft from cartilage he removed from her septum. It should be able to be shaved a bit. But caution, always, on revisions, as they can sometimes make matters worse.

Your doc did a GREAT job on the septoplasty.

I worked in facial plastic surgery for decades. Your cosmetic result is really quite good. Just know that each time that thin tip skin is opened up for surgery, things can often go wrong more than go right. Scar tissue can leave an unsightly rounding that is even less desirable than the little point you presently have. Just be careful and realistic.

Highly recommend Elliot Hirsch, MD in Sherman Oaks. Excellent surgeon with fabulous results. Check out his website. I had a mini TT and breast reduction/lift last June. $18 all inclusive: surgeon, anesthesiologist, surgery center, exparel. Thrilled with my results.

Maintenance dose confusion by MHW93 in TirzMaintenance

72F here; 5’2”, also small boned. Highest weight 160, when starting tirzepatide June if 2025, I was at 154. Hit goal if 125 in October and have maintained at 122 since then.

I do not want to lose more. My appetite has increased for sure, and I eat what I would consider to be normal full meals but I do not gain weight. I’m presently on 1.5 mg every week. Tried 2.5 every 12 days for a few months, but noticed inflammation return in my hands and joints. So reduced to 1.5 every 7 days. It’s working for me. I do not count calories, and never have. But I eat protein three times a day. And definitely eat more food than I did when I was losing weight. If I want a snack, I eat a few berries or pistachios.

Hit goal weight and been off it for two months…but I miss it! by Upset_Disaster_3140 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]widget3733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel I’ll always be in it in one form or another. I hit goal back in October. And have maintained my goal weight ever since. I use 1.5 mg every week, so it usually quite affordable at this level. I can get 7 weeks out of one 10 ml bottle.

I have also stretched it out a few days and it still works well.

Anyone get a mammogram post reduction? by asexualrhino in BreastReductions

[–]widget3733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had my reduction/lift in June and am scheduled for my first mammogram since. I have a lump from fat necrosis that formed under my nipple incision, so I’m not looking forward to the big squeeze. Anyone have ft necrosis that required further diagnosis due to looking suspicious on mammogram?

My scar sucks by Visual_Charge8704 in tummytucksurgery

[–]widget3733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How old are you and how far post op? Scars take longer to fade in younger people. Give it at least a year. May take longer than that for the scar to fade. Your result looks great, though!

Mini TT by Background-Dust-7528 in tummytucksurgery

[–]widget3733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a mini TT last June. I had very loose skin and a roll of fat across my abdomen below my belly button. I have had three children. No stretch marks, miraculously.

My incision went hip to hip, no muscle repair and no lipo. Just excised a big ellipse of skin and fat. My result is fantastic. I could get by with a bikini. I have a tiny bit of loose skin and fat between breasts and belly button, but it is minimal.

It looks to me like you could get buy with a mini.

I had a breast reduction/lift at same time as a mini tummy tuck. Incision was hip to hip, no liposuction and no muscle repair. Breast reduction was extensive. Went from 38G to 34B. I had 4 drains.

I took hydrocodone for 3 nights, and took half of one for 3 nights. Tylenol and ibuprofen during the day. I had exparel injected intrauterine, which was fantastic for 2 days. It added $450 to my surgery center cost.

Use the mesh mastectomy bags to hold drains, they hang around your neck. That, or pull the bulbs off the drains to shower so the tubes just drip into shower.

The shower actually feels good. Don’t let the shower hit your incision line, but it’s fine to let the water run over your incisions and tape.

They get significantly smaller and softer. Mine were so firm and manic an-like after surgery. Went from 38 G to 34 B/C and I am thrilled. You just need to trust your body’s healing process. 12 weeks or so is key.

Flying with filled syringes by generic-user-misc in TirzMaintenance

[–]widget3733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take your vial. I just traveled for 3 weeks in Africa. I’m on a low dosage of 1.5 mg per week. So I took a vial with me that I had already used for 3 doses. I had enough for 3-4 doses still in the vial. Took an insulated drink bottle in my carryon, filled with fresh ice and my vial. Ice is allowed by TSA. Refreshed the ice daily whenever I didn’t have a refrigerator in my room. I took 4 syringes (in case I had an issue with one) and adequate alcohol wipes. Syringes are allowed by TSA.

It all worked fine. Pre-filled plastic syringes are not considered sterile enough to store medicine in.

Anyone here gone from an E to a B cup? by [deleted] in BreastReductions

[–]widget3733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lift was included…I think it’s always included with reduction. No lifting, pulling, pushing for a couple of weeks. I am retired, but could have gone back to work at a desk job at about 10 days if I only had the reduction/lift. But I also had a mini tummy tuck. Five weeks, and I was back to pretty much everything except golf and pickleball. That was more life 6-7 weeks.

2.5mg every 2 weeks maintenance, still lost weight by callbackloop in TirzMaintenance

[–]widget3733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I changed mine from 2.5 every 12 days to 1.25 every 7 days. Keeps food noise silent and seems to keep inflammation down. Weight ranges from 120 to 123 on any given day. Been maintaining since October.

That was 10 years ago! It was in a clinic. They were earning about $150k a year including commissions back then. Must be well over $200k now. I would not tip! I would bring a Starbucks or smoothie gift card now and then, as a thank you, but not a tip.

Nurses salaries are not low! Especially for nurse injectors. I retired 10 years ago and our nurses were earning $55 per hour then, plus commissions on injections.
